Best Friend In Coma...

My good buddy Steve races motocross and this last Sunday he was at a race in Taber and he crashed coming off a jump and while he was down another rider landed on him. He was unconcious and was air lifted to Calgary. He had a collapsed lung, broken shoulder and ribs, serious head injury and they didn't think he would even make it. He had brain surgery to release the pressure from around his brain. Its now been two days and he's stable but still in a coma. Things are looking up though, the swelling has gone down and his vitals are almost normal.

He's probably my best friend and an awesome kid and i dont know what i would do if he wasnt in my life. I just wanted to tell everyone his story and for everyone to keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers to send positive vibes his way. Thanx,

Zac

hope everything works out. Bikes are scary, thats why I sold mine. My girls uncle just died in the Reno area on a motorcycle this Sunday. +vibes.

+++++++++ many vibes bro, a kid who was a few years younger than me in my school passed away while riding 2 years ago, he was on his way to going pro, he dominated the circuits he raced in, hopefully your buddy gets better, losing a friend sucks, ill keep him n his family in my thoughts.

i had a friend in a similar situation, he tried doing a road gap with snomobile tow in skiing. got backseat on takeoff and did half a backie to the cement with no helmet. airlifted and coma for 2 weeks. The fact the swellings down and his vitals are good is a good sign. If its not induced hell just wake up on his own at some point. It will take alot of recovery but he should be fine, just warning you though, serious head trauma can cause drastic changes in personality afterwards. My friend still isnt the same kid

+vibes brother. I've been there too. My friend Lindsay was in a hardcore coma back in February... its gnaw-your-fingers-to-the-bone scary..

dude that sucks, hope he makes a speedy recovery. +vibes for you and him, as well as his family

+vibes, i have friends who are in motocross and it's a sketchy sport, would hate to see one of them end up like this.

Thanx everyone for the love and support, i knew i could count on NS. I plan on going up to see him either tomorrow or the next day and I will keep you guys updated. He's a tough damn kid and i know hes gunna come outa this. Hes a fighter.
