Best food to fuel skiing

chocolate chip pancakes for sure, and for lunch i bring up my george foreman grill, plug it in in the lodge and eat mad grilled cheese. soooo good.

go with some protein(eggs) to give u strength for the day and some natural carbs like fruit or anyhting like whole grain bread for energy. if you want to get technical about it

I roll with OJ, bacon, and a bagel. Gets me some sugar from the juice without a major crash later, protein, and carbs.

Dinner would be anything huge, like steak, or pasta.
Breakfast would be pancakes, or oatmeal.
Lunch is POUTINE. The best lunch ever. Plus a chocolate bar/cookie and a large iced tea or choc milk. That lunch keeps me going.

Breakfast has gotta be porridge, with banana, its makes you nice and warm. For lunch i'd have soup, for the same reason.

Seriously though.

Before a long day of epic skiing, jibbing and generally getting steezy, I start with a bowl of hemp granola and for milk, I mix milk with a scoop of protein powder. That way you get a bunch of energy that lasts and the protein for your muscles.

breakfast: oatmeal, orange juice, toast w/ strawberry jelly

lunch: granola bar(s), soup, gatorade/water and.....

***drumroll***

PB & J

also if your still hungry, grab what the tourists dont eat before they throw it away. gaper families from the south throw away so much food its not even funny.

funny thing.

me and my friend we're up at the hill one day and had no money for food what so ever, let along much food that day. so we decided to go upstairs and sit down and just rest. right across the room from us was a abandoned plate of fries. we heated them up and ate them, then shredded the hill.

TAKE THAT

people throw away so much food!

you don't have to dig it out of the trash, just wait next to it and when you spot someone about to throw away half of their 20 dollar lunch, just ask them for it.

thanks for backin me up. at least 1 person on NS knows what im talkin about.

id never dig crap out of a trashcan. im not that desperate to eat. but tourists eat like half a piece of pizza and then go to throw it away, all you gotta do is just cut the part off that they bit on and then you got a whole half a piece of pizza for free

this kid knows whats up.

a blunt, nature valley bar and some ice cold arizona green tea in the morning.

then after the day of skiing is over an epic big lunch.

oh and for the days i have no money I do the same thing to get fries and shit, i used to have a drink cup that i saved in my jacket but some worker @ snowbird bitched me out after catching me drinking out of a ghetto ass folded up cup that i was using for 1/2 of the season so I haven't done that latley. and also saltines are the shit.

my crew is pretty poor, we spend what money we have on redbull then get saltine crackers, ketchup, musturd and make a big pile of poormans french fries :) tastes like shit!

trail mix of your own kind... Here's how

go to the bulk food section of your local grocery store

Pick the most basic and CHEAPEST trail mix.

Fill your bag to half 3/4 of the amount you want

walk through the bulk section add things that you want to improve your mix i.e. smarties, chocolate covered almonds,etc...

when you go up to the check out make sure to give the code for that cheapest trail mix

high in protein and just to your liking... fits well in a pocket too

the belgum sugar wafles (i think thats what they are) in the little stands infront of the lodges. They are almost the only thing I ate while at Killington

i learned the other day that what you eat the day before is what gives you energy, my fun fact for the day.

some lucky charms for breakfast.a grilled che and white chocolate kit kat, almond joy, and peanut M&M's everyday almost
