Just wondering whats the best type of rail, box or whatever to do first? I have never been able to really use rails where Ive skied before so dont know where to start but im skiing at a new place this coming winter with a sick park so i wanna be clued up!

Just found a load of unused wood in my shed so i want to build my own first jib but dont know whether it should be a box or rail or anything!

Cheers

for me i find boxes easier to slide, but rails easier to grip on to (for spinning off etc). i think for you to learn on you should either find a really low and short rail or box, or maybe try hitting a box straight and then try turning as you go down it. This will give you the feeling of going sideways without slipping out andlanding on your ass

if its for the backyard just make a wide rail / narrow box. thats what a lot of people do, just go inbetween. like 8" wide rail / box. kind of all purpose. i have double barrel rails and a 16" wide box, so i have the opposite but i would just make it in the middle.
