id advise staying somewhere in summit county, so when the storms do hit you can have your choice and just drive to Keystone, A-Basin, Breck, Copper, and Vail. Steamboat always gets dumped on around December and is a bit less crowded, but if your looking for reallly deep poweder and a lot less trendy resort go down to Wolf Creek, they average 400 inches of snow a year, the only down side is its down by Durango which is like a 6 hour drive from Denver, but its relativly close to Telluride. Or you can always go to Utah. hope that helps
