my brother has a kodak easyshare one that was 200 and i like that. I had some sanyo one before and it was the worst piece of shit ever.

i love mine, for the price, i dont think it can be beat for picture quality....

i would get another small one if you plan to do any skiing with it though, you sorta need a backpack to keep this one it while you are skiing....

but basically it rules for the price, i have had mine for 2 years and no problems, and it has seen all sorts of conditions, from cold snow, to the grand canyon, i love it....

Me and my dad got my mom a nice Canon for her birthday a year ago, which was around $150-200 bucks, and it is really good quality, and a great camera all around. Not so great for skiing photography because the picture has a slight delay before it is taken, so most skiing pics come out blurry. I'll post up the name of it tomorrow; I can't find it right now and I'm going to sleep.

I bought a kodak easy share too actually. its 7.1 Megapixels and it was like 200ish with a 2GB memory card.

Yeah, the camera we got her was the Canon PowerShot SD800IS, and it's a nice, cheap digital camera. It also does videos up to 3 minutes or so. Again, not so great for skiing shots, or other shots where people are moving really fast, but it works great for everything else.

canon makes some pretty sick cameras...my brother is going on a euro trip this year and i think hes going with a canon
