Best digital camera, not slr.

Scandal.

I'm looking to get a decent digital camera, just a sick point and shoot. I don't think i'd want to deal with and carry around an slr, nor will i be needing to take pictures requiring one. Anyone got some suggestions?

fuji s700 ? i think its called. i got mine on sale for like 169$

7 mega pixels but takes redic pics. its awesome. nice flash.

check it out on circuitcity.com for 170$

not expensive but sick for the price

canon g9 is pretty sick. 12mp with a hot shoe so you can put flashes on it plus you can shot in manual aperture priority shutter priority. so its basically an slr that you can put in your pocket

PowerShot SD 600 has gotten all these for me. Pretty dope little unit.

I've heard horrible things about that camera. My sister in law got it as an quick, transportable alternative to their SLR and she HATES it.

i have a older canon powershot, its still nice, just make a trip to best buy and monkey with them there and then order online

I have an older powershot as well...an S3 IS. I like it. It's a fun camera, takes some excellent shots. I spent around $600 on it though, and in hindsight, I should have just sucked it up and gotten an SLR.

g9 is amazing. i use a rebel, but i occasionally will take my dads g9 out and play around. Its by no means an SLR camera, but it takes amazing pictures.

i have the powershot sd 850 or whatever and i like it alot. its a nice little compact point and shoot but takes good shots
