I'm trying to expand the music library on my phone and I was just wondering if you have a suggestion. I'm mostly looking for fairly recent rap.

Right now I'm really liking:

Wiz kalifa -hope

2cahinz -dresser

Waka flocka-50k

Juicy j -no heart no love

i don't like much modern rap. but asap rocky's new album has a lot of pretty good songs on it. i especially like holy ghost and jukebox joints

Fan of young thugs newer stuff. Rich homie quan and migos. And asaps new joint is straight fuego. Best album of 2015 so far

Not really liking anything else tho. Shits pretty meh

To say ASAP had the best album of 2015 so far is a bold statement. If you are only looking at rap I would say that Earl Sweatshirt and Vince Staples both had better projects, and looking outside of rap I think that Jaime xx and Sufjan Stevens both put out incredible albums this year.

In my defense i havent listened to any of the albums you mentioned. But from the albums that i HAVE listened to, ASAP takes the cake in my opinion. Im sure that these other artists have good projects and i'll definitely listen to them but at long last asap is my favorite of the year

Summertime '06 by Vince Staples is a dope album, really give it a listen.

At.Long.Last.A$AP is also pretty good, I've only given it two listen throughs but Lord Pretty Flocko Jodye 2 is a sick song.

At Long Last Asap is a flawless album.

Meeks new album was good... for meek.

To Pimp a Butterfly is something else but that goes without saying really.

Travis Scott is about to blow up so keep an eye on him.

King Los is putting out some interesting stuff, same with Flatbush zombies and Joey badass.

Earls album drug it's feet but Vince's was actually really good.

Young thug is fun to vibe to.

Riff raffs new album is dropping soon.

J Coles latest is mellow and not his best imo but there are a few good tracks.

If you haven't listened to Isaiah rashad get on it.

Theophilus London has been killing it recently but it's not super rappy.

Same with snoops latest album.

You're going the wrong way.

I don't listen to much rap, let alone modern rap, but I liked surf and the album BADBADNOTGOOD recently did with Ghostface.

To Pimp a Butterfly is insanely good.

At long last A$AP has some solid songs.

Vinces new project is good.

Sremmlife is fuckin sick.

Lil B is Based

Bada$$ beats have a 90s sound which I go for. Aside from that I really like march madness by dj esco ft. Future

Rappers like joey badass, kendrick, j.cole, mick jenkins and only a few others today make great music without reaching for commercial appeal. You can tell that there music is made from there passion and it shows in there songs. imo I think they deserve more praise than the rappers who rap cause its convenient and it pays.

Pretty much anything BeastCoast: Joey Bada$$, ProEra, The Underachievers, Flatbush Zombies... New York rap is unreal right now

I think a better question is what is the best current album - and the answer to that is simple: Oddisee - The Good Fight.

I can't really speak on specific songs but there a few albums I thought were well these past years.

Joey badmon - b4da$$ - good flow from joey, okay beats

Logic - up - Great album good production combined with logics storytelling

Asap - alla - Some songs were pretty gothic and shitty but the other half of the album was great. Juicy J killed the producing

J. cole - fhd - Little r&b but j cole put out a damn good album

Kendrick- tpab - Very unique with a lot of inspiration from 80's and 90's and with tons of other artists, good lyrics

Madlib and freddie gibbs- pinata - madlib with great beats like always and freddie was able to change his style well to the beat

ab-soul - better days - insane play on words best lyricism from any other one.
