Best chop/crud ski

I'm looking to get a new pair of skis. I ski in Utah and I am an advanced skier. I'm 23, 6' 2 and 170lbs. I am looking for a ski in the 100-110ish that will do really well in chop and crud, have a high speed limit, but also be able to easily maneuver and through sideway in the trees. I have been looking at the 4frnt Devastator 194 and 184. Read some reviews on the 194's but haven't seen much on the 184. I've also been looking at the new Moment Meridian. It's looks similar to the Devastator but lighter. What are your thoughts? Any other skis you'd recommend?

Devastator or Kartel 108 if you are looking for an all mountain ski with some more freestyle characteristics. I'd look at the ON3P Renegade if you want a more directional ski.

lighter usually isnt better when you are looking for a damp and stable ski. Id go with the Devs. I had the 184 and they were one of the best skis ive ever rode.

191 HEAD Monster 108 or 192 Dynastar Pro Rider for firmer crud

189 Billy Goat or 196 Moment Governor for softer chop and crud

this thread is only gonna make your decision harder. just send the devastators and you'll be happy. i can't say one bad thing about this ski

Armada JJ is 117mm waist but it is the best for chop/crud, powder, piste, trees for everything. It has very fast bases and has very short turning radius and is very easy to maneuver.

If you still think it is too wide go for Faction 3.0. The end.

The JJ has soft tips, a really tight sidecut, and nothing to add dampness. It is just about the antithesis of what makes a good crud ski. It doesn't have a "fast base". It has an industry standard base that is actually on the thin side..Great for getting as many core shots as possible.

Fuck off chode.

The JJ is up there with the worst skis for chop and crud. The only thing the JJ is useful for is tight trees. No clue how the ski is still around.

Haha, a friend of mine tip rockered and home-made swallow-tailed a pair.

Your friend is my kind of loon, I approve immensely. I decambered mine and added a bit of early rise and a tiny bit of taller rocker. Cost me £20 off eBay, hobo mantras I call them.

the faction 3.0 isn't great in chop/crud either... super fun ski though

Hands down the Atomic Ritual, or Blizzard Cochise. If you are looking for a crud buster that will blast through anything, any day, these are the skis for you.
