Best Catch of the year

Im watching this game right now but Sam Hou State had an equally as rediculous play when the ball was tipped and he turned to dodge one defender, then he ran into 2 defenders and bounced off them for the TD. But still that was a dope catch.

not only was that sick. it was insanely smart. he made it so obvious that the ball never touched the ground... good god

Yay for being a Cats fan like me.. but they did give up. I am depressed. They had a chance to win that game.

AND Akpla deserves to go into the NFL, he has had a standout season for sure!

was watching this live, and honestly it wasnt great-yes a very good better then average catch...but by no means best catch of the year

sick catch, not even close to the catch of the year. not to mention it was made by a second rate athlete, playing in a second rate league.

your team sucks. have a ton of fun watching them play, dont go bragging about their accomplishments.

Holy crap. Those were sportsnations words. The people that said it was an average catch, I don't know what football league your watching, but let me know.

this. i mean come on, no matter what league you play in that catch could be called ridiculous. just to have the awareness in such a short amount of time to keep the ball off the ground like that is impressive in itself.

its natural instinct...has nothing to do with awareness.

He actually tried to hotdog the catch by holding it in one hand, realized that it would be jarred loose on contact with the ground so then trapped it against his helmet for a second.

No one will deny that it was a sick looking catch but it wasnt a super difficult catch to make. Thats what people dont realize - most of the "ridiculous" catches that are on youtube, are just balls thrown perfectly for the reciever to make an athletic play. Has anyone ever watched a good D1, or NFL teams practice? you see rediculous plays on the regular.

catching the ball on a slant with a db drapped on you hacking at your hands, knowing a LB is about to blow you up is a much harder catch to make, but doesnt look nearly as cool.

But i also thought david tyree's superbowl catch wasnt all that sick except for the fact that it was super clutch.

That natural instinct part... most guys wouldn't have been able to keep that off of the turf even if it is "natural instinct"

natural instinct is awareness, bro.. thats what sets "average receivers" apart from great ones. There is great talk about this guy going pro. We live in Montana, cheering for a team that hasn't won an FCS Division I championship game for over 30 years. Chill out bro, its giving us something to cheer about. Take your sass somewhere else.
