Best Camp on Blackcomb?

I thought Whistler was a camp but on there sight it says that they are just the resort and the camps are like High North and Dave Murrays. What is the best camp on whistler?

 
There are three really good camps on Blackcomb: SMS (Smart Mogul Skiing), COC (Camp of Champions) and High North. There are no camps on Whistler.

It is all personal preference.....

SMS has a good staff, and they do a little moguls, mostly newschool.

HN has a great staff, small class sizes and all newschool.

COC good staff, mixed with snowboarders, and usually the staff has too many kids and hard to handle and answer questions

sms has the best diggers...therefore they have the best camp.

you will notice one of their hits being poached several times in 'In The Haze' so you know its got to be good as well.

 
it's all about preferense.... if your just beggining to learn newschool tricks i would recomend dave murray. if not id go with coc, hn, or sms

yeah HN is ill, personally i think they have the best coaches, there park is ill, they dont have as many hits as SMS but all there hits are awesome and the park isnt crowded at all, COC prolly has the biggest park, they have some sick rails but there coaches arent all that great... SMS is an okay camp too, but doesnt really have the feel of HN and also no bbq or system up on the glacier, and no HN QP

What the hell were they doing with a car on the moon?... havent they gone far enough?
 
High North: Go there if you're good already.

SMS: Go there to learn things, its good if you have tricks already too.

COC: Dissorganized, overpriced for the coaching you can get, I think sms or High North are a better choice.

just out of curiosity...how old are you? just wondering because every single skier knows what whistler is and so do hundreds of thousands that have never and will never ski.

Hn had some sick rails this summer along with a huge QP and a nice hip on the other side of the quarter pipe. SMS had a nice 50 foot table a nice rainbow rail and a kinked rail. I thought SMS had a sick staff, Mike D, Philou, Sarah Burke, Iannick B, Jay Vaughn, Smiley Nisbett, an Andrea (those were the coaches when i was there) I loved SMS this summer

ahhh i'm sick of everone putting all oter camps down

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE CAMPS IS ILL> i haven't heard any complain about anything major about any camp.

you will have the best time of your life at any of them. i know i did at CoC

I dont think there is much point in argueing what camp is better than the rest because they are all good camps and worth the change you fork out to go. COC has mad terrain, High North has sweet rails, and SMS has sarah burke haha. But i think we can all agree that Dave Murray is NOT the best haha no offense to Rex Thomas. Personally i perfer COC and the just go poach the rest of the camps when i want cool rails or to ogle sarah.

tanner hall, heath ordway, and steele spence all coach at world...its only got one lane but it is hot because they only have like 50 kids per session...last summer i was in a group with heath and 4 other kids.

It's all one love. You get to ski in summer, bottom line. You can't go wrong.

I went to Camp of Champions, but like it was said, it was unorganized, but that was one of the things I liked about it. It wasn't a camp at all, there were no rules, pretty much you do what you want and ski when you want.

Choose what camp appeals to you, you can't go wrong with any of them.

 
ya i've never been to a camp but next summer i'm going to COC. with the unoraganization about it i'd like that because i don't want to be 'coached' to ski if i wanna learn something then i bitch a coach until he caves and teaches me. i'd go to COC to ski and not be taught to do tricks i'd go to ski private terrain with my buds.

 
hahaha 1080spinna, dude coaches NEVER ever bitch at you man, well at least the coaches at HN, they dont give a shit if you dont wanna listen to them, if you wanted to you could be completely antisocial and just do your own thing, but if you wanna improve and shit why not listen to the pros, i would think they would know what they are talking about

i didn't say the coaches bitch at me...i'd bitch at them...i went to windells and just skied without being coached the whole time. it was cool cuz i just rode without any worries
