Best camera for filming and pics on the slopes

canon 7dpros - weatherised, amassing video, good pictures

cons - a bit spendy, people like to steal em, it happend to me

i would use final cut express, or pro

if u have win get adobie premiere

if those are out of your price range i would get a gopro there not bad and make sure u have a good enough computer to edit hd
 
Are you wanting to actually get into filming or do you mostly just want to make fun little edits with your buddies. If you don't want to get to serious then you cna't go wrong with a gopro. Also fill out the sticky in the M&A forums.
 
a mix of both a lot of small edits during the season than do what i can with the rest if know what i mean

probably a 7d, but for pictures and video my friends and I use a goPro for powder, canon HV30 for film and a Nikon D40 for pictures
 
i got a t2i and it works great, i use i movie bcz its easy. i make good edits but i wanna get final cut but worried its real complicated. any tips?
 
People who have been working with Premeire or one of the older final cut programs hate the brand new version of final cut because it is designed like i movie so if you get the new Final Cut it shouldn't be too bad of a transition.
 
i can get a deal on the canon t2i frame but just the frame no lense what lense should i get i want to film and sequence shots and nice zooom
 
It seems as though you don't know much about cameras so I'm just going to say it: do some research. Learn about focal length and how it effects the image on the camera.

A 17mm lense will have more of a fish-eye effect then a 40mm for instance. If your going to be using a T2i with interchangeable lenses, it's very necessary to know this sort of information when picking the right lenses.

Furthermore, your going to need to learn about

-Aperture (f-stop)

-Shutter speed

-ISO

These all play a very heavy role in filming and you have to manually set these for almost every shot you take.
