Best bootfitter?

The reason I say best is because my ankles are misaligned beyond belief and from past experiences a decent bootfitter doesn't really cut it. Hell all of the bootfitters I visited in Ottawa (where I used to live) didn't even address the problem or bother to comment on it without me bringing it up and it's not like I didn't roll my pants up or anything, shit was completely visible.

Needless to say I am looking for a pair of boots that will actually fit me and can hopefully cater to my problems. I live downtown so anywhere but north of york is doable in terms of travel.

Thanks.

For anything freestyle related, Kevin Kato at the Sign of the Skier. Specifically ask for him, but don't bother with anyone else there.

if you haven't gone already, I would HIGHLY recommend Andy who works at Corbetts in Oakville. Great guy to talk to, and have always got my boots fitted by him since I was a kid. I have a really flat foot, a huge navicular bone and custom footbeds that he has helped me with. Great fitter, I would give him a call! Tell him Luke sent you

Thanks man, I have also been recommended Chris Van from Skis & Bikes in Mississauga. If only everyone could agree on one place/ person it would make my decision that much easier.

Go to Andy at Corbetts. He's a really good guy, knows his stuff and ill only deal with him every time im there.

THIS!!

Chris is the only person other than myself that I would let touch my boots. I've seen him work magic on some pretty hard cases and he fits a couple of athletes on the Canadian Alpine team as well.

Similar question, where would ppl recommend the best place to get a set of skis drilled in Toronto is? I'm mounting fks so they'd have to have that jig

I would reccomend Skiis and Biikes or Corbetts. I have had both pairs of FKS mounted by both shops with no problems.

mounting is mounting.

there's nothing complicated about it so any shop will be fine.

just be prepared to pay a good chunk of change if you didn't buy them there

I wouldn't recommend Skiis and Biikes, they molded my right intuition liner to my left foot, and my left to my right, and other things.. lol

I'd go to Cam at Sporting life in Collingwood, if you can get there. He fits the national team, can't go wrong.

Andy and corbetts are both total jags.

If you are in the Barrie area call gates and boards and schedule a fitting with Arn. He was rated one of canadas best bootfitters a few season ago and is one of the most legit dudes around.

Did you go to the skiis and biikes in collingwood?

If so the staff is completely different then staff at the mississauga store.

To be honest a lot of the people recommended in this thread have years of experience and have fit many people on national teams, nor-am teams and have a large passion for the industry, just fill them in with what you want in a ski boot and you shall receive.

Best of luck in your journey.
