best bc ski trip

Not sure where i wanna go next time im out west so i thought i'd get some oppinions.

What mountain should i go to for deep fresh powder skiing, warm weather, fresh tracks, good price(to stay overnight), small and medium cliffs, good places for backcountry booters, and tree skiing, and ideal time of year.

Pro Am It's all about the East.

Whistler for sure, if you didn't go already.

Freeskiing is a lifestyle, and true skiers are the ones who live this lifestyle, not the ones who follow it.

if you go anytime matt im in for it.....

rock out witcha cock out

In Big White me and a buddy skied every hill and every glade inbetween those hills, not to mention the back bowl with all the sick pow. plus we hit powder keg, then snowshoe sams, and then the white crystal inn. every night it was great. big white is the place to be if u wanna live with like 12 buds for a week and just get hammered it can be quite cheap.

yeah i wanna do some sort of a trip with a bunch of buddies this year somewhere close enough to drive from seattle area, but not neccicarly whistler, cause i've been there and its actually pretty expensive, at least for me.

lets go to mammoth and hit the massive park or mt hood windells camp sounds great to me. Are you around the seattle area?

When life gets you down... Go Jibbing!

i live in kirkland. i wanna go somewhere other than mt hood or whistler, since i've been there. im thinking somewhere up in bc.

okej well yea big white is really nice I have many friends in gig harbor who go up there at least three weekend in a season. Its nice but why do you want to go BC, why not like Utah or Montana. Montana is a fucking treasure trove for a week of cheap skiing big sky and stuff like that

When life gets you down... Go Jibbing!

i wouldn't be apposed at all to go to montana or utah or somewhere like that, i just like Canada. plus the drinking age is 19

I'd recommend doing several hills in the Kooteney's (south eastern BC). You could hit up Red in Rossland, Whitewater in Nelson, and then Fernie. None of these hills have big terrain parks but you'll encounter some sweet, steep, fall lines and some deep, dry ass snow. All of them are hosted by tiny towns so the accomidations are very cheap. Especially with the American buck. You're also very close to doing Sunshine, Lake Louise, and Kicking Horse.

kicking horse lets go to kicking horse and banff i have always heard good things about them

When life gets you down... Go Jibbing!

im in for sure..... kicking horse, for cheezy

kicking horse is good except no real park. hit red mountain if u want cheap and a TURE ski town! hit big white for a complete package and more true ski town feeling. hit silver star if u want good skiing (park and BC) and ladies but its more pricy.

hit up fernie or kicking horse for sure. fuck big white, it blows

I feel bad for people who don't drink, cause when they wake up in the morning, thats the best the're going to feel all day

yea me and matt (madontarioian) went to Fernie last year, so i think hes looking for some place diffrent, and park doesnt matter, we have enough of it on the east coast, kicking horse sounds really good

when does baker open? I'm making a trip (mostly BC oriented but no heli skiing, lack of $$) to somewhere west like oregon, washington or BC. I've been to whistler, silver star, and bigwhite. what do u all suggest. the trip is the second or third week of decmeber. and KH isn't open till the 19th.

baker gets tons of snow and powder. good terrain, but not that great of a park. tickets average price, but there aren't any places that you can stay at, that are right up near it. its still a drive everyday from where you stay. im not sure about the prices of the accomidations though. its a really fun mountain though. not huge, but still tons of different terrain.

yea baker rocks it really does but the man wants to go on a ski vacation and baker is not in BC where he wants to go. What about heli skiing if your up for it and have the money theres plenny of great places.

When life gets you down... Go Jibbing!

when I say BC I mean I wanna ski park and backcountry. I'm on the almighty canadian dollar, and heli skiing is waayayyy outta the qeustion. I cant afford it

If you're thinking 2nd to 3rd week in December you should consider Cat Skiing. That's when it's cheapest. Especially if you stay in the nearest town (for the parties and women) and comute to the Cat Ski operation each morning. Here's a link to available places :http://www.biglines.com/links.php?do=links&id=39&action=showall

Let me know where you're considering and I may be able to help you out with some decisions. I've been fortunate enough to visit many of these places.

id say either jackson hole or squaw

2 weeks ago I went to Outdoor school Camp with my grade. My teacher was in a Field talking to his Girlfriend at 11:30 pm, my friend and I were suspicious so we flashed a flaslight in the eyes of my teacher and they were closed. We Burst out laughing I said 'His having phone sex'. So the Next Day I went around and told EVERYONE in my grade what happened last night. I said to them 'on the count of 3 we'll say MR. GIBSON were you MASTERBATING last night. My teacher we so red, it was fucking Hilarious

My Teacher: Yeah I Whack The Dog

Another story coming soon...

Go to squaw for 2 reasons. the great powder and the hardcore powder day attitude. everywhere you go on a powder day you see people teeing off on enormous cliffs and tearing impossible lines. just remember not to talk shit to the locals and you'll be cool

i like juice

ye but what is the snow like december 14th?

whoever sent the biglines.com link for cat skiing thanks, it gave me some more option although those are sitll a little pricy for me

any of the okanagan mtns rock man, they got it all. plus your pretty close to the bigger mtns eastern bc. only like 4 hours to KH or Rossland. the parties at apex or big white can get pretty off the hook, but im still partial to silver star, u just gotta hook up with the right locals

i lived in fernie for a year back in 99, that was cool town, you can find lodging for cheap and the domain on the resort is not super long but quite diversified. i spent also a couple days in KH, thats a big resort, sick chutes, quiet.
