Best Backcountry Cliffs?

What are your guys' favorite backcountry hang outs... where can I find some good cliffs and steep stuff to shred?

This is off knoll 1 at alpy super fun
 
sourdough gap if your willing to go that far looks like it has some of the best and most diverse terrain in the state. spines and cliffs up top, big pow bowl in the middle and pillows in the trees. just watch out because under the bowl theres a big lake in the flat spot and a creek that runs through the trees

Anybody know the guy who runs that site? Could be a great resource if someone took it over and updated it.....
 
Oh, I've seen that basin from the traverse to the king... it would be awesome to set up camp there and ski all the lines in a few days...
 
You don't wanna go down that run. That run has got a historih. Thirty-five people have died goin' down it, and some say you can still see their ghosts up there. It was on that very ski run that a group of students were killed by a wolfboy who escaped from a mental institution. You see, that ski run was once a burial ground to a tribe of vampire wichicaw who ate the flesh of children with no eyes. Yah-, a lot of history on that ski run.
 
I'm pretty sure Chris Foy made that site. Every once in a while you can find him at alpy, he use to be a local guy that skied damn near anything on the mountain. Him and Donnelly, IIRC both of them got banned back in the day, and Foy started coming back every once in a while a few years ago.

The problem with the Alpental.com map is that depending on the time of year everything looks different. There are some zones that don't change much, but for the most part any particular cliff zone can go from super big, super big to flat, all the way down to small and with a good tranny. You can't just drop into most of these zones if you've never been there, best go with someone or scope it from the bottom if you can. In the Alp BC, never ever follow someones tracks assuming anything.... shit any BC for that matter. However, often if you see only one or two sets of tracks into a zone, it's most likely cause things get real gnar, real quick.

yeah for syre, the best spines are on the side you can't see from crystal though, their up on the exposure above sheep lake
 
The landing is still flat. I know where that is, and if memory serves me there is a bunch of stuff that is a lot more fun to ski not very far from it.
 
Yeah, and I was kinda thinking non-slackcountry... TAY is nice and all, but it's not the right demographic, and if I even start to spell out cliffs I'll get shut down by some old person sitting in an armchair.
