Best Back/Torso Protectors?

What are some of the best, most comfortable, and effective spine/chest protectors? I don't want something too bulky, but want a little padding for the chest area, while being low-profile.

anyday i would trust my spine with poc back protectors. They may be super expensive but totally worth it just think they are widely used among super g/downhill racers which i assure you are going fast.

I'd say Poc and Slytech make some of the best protectors out there. There's this company called Demon? Or something with Demon in it that has some for cheaper and pretty nice. Someone help me out with the bame

Yeah it's Demon.http://demonunited.com/

POC is crazy expensive and Demon seems sketchy, not many people talk about them, so maybe I'll just go with Slytech.

I'm using a carve, i haven't had any major crashes in it but it is pretty comfy as back protectors go and seems pretty protective.

The ting i like about it is it's only hard on impact, otherwise its soft and shapes to your back nicely. Don't know if other back protectors do that, as this is the only one i've really tried...

True slytech is great but look around for some deals especially with black friday coming up it's totally worth the money for the POC if you're not going to grow out of. Just think man the difference between 100$ and 500$ is a big difference and if you're planning on going big get the best protection because there is no going back once you hurt your spine.

Slytech is always good option though as well, im just saying don'tt overlook things when it comes to them.

Sorry don't mean to beat the dead horse.

Do you think it's worth getting a back protector that has some chest protection too?

To be extra safe it's never a bad idea i know some people that wear football girdles under there snow pants for protection. If you're just starting out in the park or backcountry or just skiing in general even it might not be necessary because you probably aren't going crazy big, but if you want to go bigger or you are already a great skier then it's never a bad idea especially with flips and shit it's good to have extra padding on your chest as well as going fast and being near trees.

When i was a little bit younger i "volunteered" with my local patrol team for a little bit and i was surprised at there being more people who fell on a rail on their chest then i thought there would be, which is no fun. All in all though it comes down to what your ski style is and how much protection you feel comfortable with, but extra protection is never a bad idea.

And by the way just in case you think i'm some random n00b making shit up i'm not i just had to make this account because someone idk how or who or why someone would would want to but they got my account and changed everything my username doesn't even exist anymore :(

but yeah hope i helped.

I'm gonna be trying flips this season and do want some front padding, also in case I eat it on rails, as you mentioned. This seems to be what I'm looking for:http://demonsnow.com/store/DS 5100 Shield Vest V2

I don't want so much protection that it's hard to move and grab and whatnot. Also with the vest, I'm going to get some padded shorts.
