Best all-mtn twins?

i'm looking to buy some new twin tips but am pretty new to park riding so i'm still looking for something that skis everything and carves pretty well. i can get some skogens or even ARV's pretty cheap but was also considering troublemakers? any thoughts, suggestions, lifestyle advice would be much appreciated

out of the 3 choices you gave, def the skogens, arv are more of a bc ski than all mountain, troublemakers suck on rails

the word around this site is that the atomic tweaks are good and same with the volk karamas but out of the choices u listed i have heard the troublemakers are the best besides they stink on rials.

i've always wondered when people say "all-mtn" do they really mean all mountain as in they are planning to ride them in pow, crud, groomers, park and bumps or are people just trying to be cool and say "all-mtn" when they are really only going to be riding on resort terrain

is "cotton field gorilla" a racial slur?

i think resort terrain

if you can get the arvs fo cheap, do it, they are SICK skis all over the mountain, and one of the best park skis i've ridden....check them out, you'll be stoked on them.

If you truly do mean all mountain, pick up the ARVs... once you go fat, you'll be hooked for life.

And schlonginator, I'm using Jp vs. Juliens for all mountain next year... so I guess that answers that question.

i'm gonna have to say PE's are super good at riding everything (and i mean everything).

but seriously, don't just take our word for it. go out and try a bunch of different skis and see which ones fit your riding style best.

good luck

This is one of the worst examples of a "Whatever skis I own are best even if you didn't mention them among your options" thread I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of them. Just forget the confusion and get the damn ARVs if they're cheap. You won't be disappointed with them.

yup, ARV's are my only ski and I really really like them, they blast everywhere through everything, stick on groomers and are awesome in powder and park, but they are a fairly heavy ski I find, so it depends of your physical shape and abilities...

Gravity sucks

"I only drink on 2 occasions. When I'm thirsty, and when I'm not."

Not really man, the pistol is a freeride ski, not all mountain ski. It's too fat and has too much swingweight for park and groomer skiing.

I have tried every ski out there, and for the money the Public Enemy is the best. It's balsam/poplar core is snappy and it has vertical sidewalls for better hold on hard pack + it holds up better on rails. If you're going to buy them, hold out till next year. They added a little girth under foot, got rid of the of the peiced bases (forgot what they call it) making it faster and hold up better, and gave it a sick graphic.

i would say the AR5 they are good in the park and i got second in a head to head race so the edges hold up good and they are good in the powder and for moguls...but others would be the pocket rockets and arv's

Second in a head to head race? Wouldn't that also be termed "last"?

Publics might be too heavy for you. If you're new to the whole thing then Seth Pistols aer probably too much of a ski to handle. And i assume you're talking about resort terrain (grooomers and off-trail semi-packed stuff) so I must say the best of your choices would be the Trouble Maker cause they handle great (even in powder) and they carve really well, and I even learned to ski powder switch on them. If it's your first year in park then I doubt you'll be doing any rails so just go for it. They don't break easily on anything other than rails maybe, but not for me. My trouble Makers are my rail skis and they are kick ass.

i'm just gonna say the new 1080's cause i use em on the east coast parks, they're good, and i used them at whistler, and they were good.

cB crew represent.

if you plan on skiing powder and can get the ARV's cheap you won;t be dissapointed, it's the perfert resort ski, it'll take you anywhere.

Armadas are all pretty damn light... except the ANT next year, but what do you expect from those dimensions.
