what about the heads? i can get a deal on the 2002/2003's for about $200can, unmounted and brand new, whats with the 'you can choose tips for big air or big mountain' wtf?

seth pistol 189, guy you weigh a buck 80, why the hell would you be riding on a 179? of course your shit is noodley, its short as fuck?!

Jackson sucks, tell your friends.

Opinions were like kittens, I was givin' em away.

Seth Pistol are the greatest. Sweet ski. Get the 04-05s. You will never ever regret it. Doesn't work so well when it's hard, but riding when it's hard sucks anyway. Ski or die!

yeah i love my pistols. Absolutely amazing in the pow, and even on the hardpack I found myself happier skiing on those than my 1080s.

wow good observation! You are officaily the new ns genious. You can pick up your award after I shove it up your ass. - Phrosty

definintely TM's, they rip everywhere and are soo sick in the park. and they are great on groomers

public enemy kills it anywhere. i am a pretty big kid and i ski them. so nice it rips everywhere

id have to say not volkl v-pro. my buddy actually has something break off or snap on his v-pros every time he lands or grinds...its sad.

and i owned the v-expressions for 8 or 9 days this year, until they inexplicably exploded on a rail. volkl skis are not durable. do not get them.

I have the 172 MadTrix 2003s without the systems mounted with P10s. I mounted them big mountain, but 3cm forward from center. They are an awesome ski in the park, powder, or even the midwest ice. The flex is stiffer than most twins, so than can cruise at speed too. If I were to do it again, I would have only mounted the bindings 1 or 2cm forward of center as they sometimes try to put me in the backseat when carving. Other than that, they are a terrific ski all over the mountain.

hey

im lookin for some new boards too, and i got to demo some stuff out west, i have the volkl v's and theyre old now but they have held up as good as gold, so i dunno what was wrong with your volkls bro but mine are crazy strong, pocket rockets = sick in the powder, but they kinda struggle on the hard pack / ice, but they were pretty nice in the park, seth pistols = too sick in the trees and powder, nice on the groomed and stable in the steeps, felt really big in the park, scratch fs = SICKLY skiis i loved these things i think they were the best overall ones, and would definately be sick in ontario/ quebec, madtricks mojo = fat as hell, but really stable, kinda stiff in the back, but im lighter so i guess it mite be good for bigger guys, not to big on carving, and the nordica beasts = very much like the mojos, stiff and fat, probably good for bigger guys not me though, i found the fs to be soo sick, not the blue/red ones theyre soft and unstable, the fs for sure, theyre awsome, check it out for sure bro, my two cents...

I'd get the K2 PEs for sure. those skis rip anywhere you take em. they are supposedly 60% park and 40% all mtn but that is not true at all. they are 100% park, 100% all mtn, and 100% big mtn. they rule

Yeah. get the PE's nd don't be afraid to get a bigger size. Maybe I'm just a strong skier, but they feel really responsive when making tight turns but still capable of long fast GS style turns... Definately THE all purpose ski, good for everyone, whether you're east coast, west coast, a park rat, a learning skier or an expert.
