Best (affordable) ski-in/out lodging at Breck or Vail?

affordable and Vail don't go together. I believe there are NO ski in ski out lodging at Vail, since the town sits at bottom of the mountain off the highway. Can't comment on Breck, but beaver creek has some nice ski in ski out houses, I am sure they are very expensive.

Nah Vail isn't that expensive unless you are completely broke. Obviously its going to be pricier than many places but most people expect to pay more since it has the famous name and all.

Its not Reno/Tahoe (cost me as much to park my car for a night as a nice hotel in Reno or South Lake would) but I got a ski in ski out hotel for 120 a night on hotwire. It was 4 stars and was fancy enough. Closest one to the Gondola walk out the door and you are there.

If you want to meet girls or impress a girl you are bringing Vail is the place, just grow up and drop 100+ a night and you're good. If money is an issue think about Utah or Tahoe instead, or get the cheapest shithole hotel in summit county for 80 a night.

Go for a 4 star in Vail Village off hotwire or priceline. Make sure its in the village if you want ski in ski out. I got the Lodge at Vail you will probably get that one too.

Thanks for the feedback--I probably should have qualified what I consider affordable: $300-$400/night is fine, I just don't want to pay $1000+ per night.

I think they were called riverbend lodges i think we got a good deal and its not ski in ski out you have to walk alil but not much at all
