Bern with hat sizing

This year im buying a bern helmet cuz my g10 became to small (it was a medium). I will be buying the summer helmet with a hat under and was wondering if I should go with the large or xl helmet? I don't wanna look like i have a mushroom on my head.
 
I have a bern baker in a size medium that fits a little loose on me unless I wear a hat under it. My fitted hat size is a 7 3/8. So if you fit in a larger hat size I would probably suggest a large. Otherwise just get the medium since it fits almost everyone.
 
is the knitted liner thing that comes with the baker about the same thickness as a beanie? I remember trying on a med baker last year and it fit really well, but would it fit the same with a normal beanie swapped in?
 
i had a baker and i took out the liner and put a beanie under. i had to find a really thin one though because i forgot i also put my goggles under too... your best bet is to into the shop with a beanie and goggles and try on the helmet without the liner.
 
i have a giro 9 helmet size medium and a bern macon size small. they both fit the same other than the bern being a bit wider.

if you are going to wear a hat underneath the summer model, buy one size bigger, but i recommend just trying some on. if its a little loose, it will be perfect with a beanie under it.
