Bern Watts/Bacon EPS vs. Maze?

I like the low-profile helmet look, and since my shiv is destroyed, I am looking to get either the Bern Watts/Bacon EPS or the Smith Maze since I can get wholesale on either. I have heard that Bern was not certified for one type of standard, but does this new EPS rating make it as safe as the Maze? Also gonna pick up the I/Os with the discount and wear underneath, anyone have any input on the fit with either of these helmets? I know that over the helmet the I/O and Maze are great.

I have the watts and the I/O's and they work perfectly together. And the Watts does everything I need it to do, it's got great vents for spring skiing or longboarding in the summer. I ski with it, longboard with it, mountain bike anything and everything with it. Couldn't ask for anything more in a helmet.
