Bern helmets???

Allright, i've seen a lot of kids this year wearing bern helmets, specifically the baker, are they played out? they look sick, but I don't really want to be just another kid with the same helmet... if you know what I mean. Are they worth buying, or should I just get something else?
 
Bakers are sick but trendy. But anything these days are trendy. Just get a white if they have black or vice versa. Or the G10.
 
not much protection? i was ripping a hard pack groomer fakie at full speed (which was REALLY fast) i hit a rock and fell right onto my head onto ice. i was wearing my baker and it seriously offered more protection than ANY red or giro helmet i've ever worn.

don't bash it unless you've tried it.
 
honestly i think it comes down to what your gonna be doing that you need the helmet for. i think of the baker as a skate helmet. i own one and thats pretty much what i plan on using it for, just for rolling around the park and to stop myself from having headaches from bumping my head on stuff. if your gonna be charging tree lines or are worried about screwing up on big jumps and landing on your head i would reccommend something like a giro. my hill is tiny and on the east coast, i hit mostly the park and do not consider myself to be too hardcore of a rider, and i am a good enough skiier that im not worried about getting out of control and running off the trails and hitting trees at high speed. so i think the baker is just peachy for what i want it to do.

ie. baker is straight and stylish if you just want to wake up the next day without headaches. but if you are trying to protect yourself from serious head injuries i would look at something else.
 
i really don't care about the protection thing, i kinda wnat to know about them being played out, would I just be a tool to wear one, cause there are who are sponcered by bern where i ride. should i just buy like red or something?
 
youd be a tool for wearing one beacause you dont care about protection yet your still wearing a helmet so clearly your wearing it for the "look". if you dont care then why are buying one?
 
I never thought I'd see a helmet being played out... who cares?? if you like it and you think it looks good, forget about what other people think about it, and know that you look steezy.
 
I have an aproved Baker (EPS Foam). Are you saying I don't care about myself? I do, and I just happen to have a really steezy helmet.
 
whatever. i don't care what you think about my post. i just tried to describe the level of protection the helmet offered. at least i posted something constructive instead of criticism about another post.

just get a different bern helmet they make like 6 i have a macon and i think its much better because its vented unlike the baker and its way cheaper and still looks sik and works niceley so far
 
yea they are SICK!! but very trendy and personally i like having unique stuff that not alot of other people have
