Bern Helmets?

Has anyone used one? They look dope but seem to have weird foam padding like a skateboard helmet. Wondering about winter headbash effectiveness.
 
And Ya i tried the search bar before someone says it, but there is way mixed reviews on Bern safety.

They don't seem as padded as Giros or REDs
 
just by looking at it, it doesnt have earflap things but the people i know just wear a hat or beanie under, i like them
 
bern sent me one of the 07 ones and it seems real safe, and i got the new knitted built in earflaps, super sick and warm, i think that it will be pretty safe
 
ahahaha i hope to god ure not talking about the skiing ones, those things u attach into the inside make it look like ure wearing a hat under ure helmet, which makes u look like a fuckin tool
 
yeah i have a bern baker its got a knitted beanie that attatches to the inside, i havent crashed hard with it but i think its fairly safe as far as i know, its constructed nicely. the 07 helmets are designed more for snow use than previous models
 
i have the bern macon (thanks to mattyb) and its ill...a bit tight at first but the padding inside gets packed in and should fit great

they are safe as far as i know...couple friends used them last year and had some spills and were fine...they are ILLIN
