Bern helmet gopro problem

hey my brother has a bern hard hat helmet and we have tried sticking the gopro mounts on it and they just slip of every time while skiing. I think it's the paint on there or something because it's just doesn't stick. Is anyone else having this problem?

Heat up the mount with a hairdryer, apply to helmet, let sit over night, ??????????, profit

Yea I have the same helmet and I just let it sit for 1 day and it was fine

The mount fit fine on my XL Bern Macon, you just have to find the right spot.

pretty sure I hit a branch with it (the gopro) the other day and it didn't come off, I gotta get used to being a couple inches talle lol

It probably has something to do with the Matte Black color. Theres a coating on the black to make it black that the sticky mount can peel off. This has been happening to my roomates bern helmet/gorpo. Maybe try sanding down a small patch with very very fine sand paper and sticking it on. Or, my roomate uses the helmet stap and it works perfectly.

it is matte black and we did use the curve mount mabye ill try the hair dryer see how that works

as stated use the concave mount, the warmer the better to get a good adhesion to the helmet, and make sure there is good adhesion all the way around, clamping it down and letting sit for a day or two will only benefit you.

use hair dry to to heat up the adhesive and press down really hard for as long as you can, or until it's no longer hot.

I had two curved mounts fall of a POC helmet so now I just put on the headstrap and problem solved. Easy to find if it falls of too which is doubtful.

curved mounts suck, use head strap, it works with that helmet i have it.

Anyone who has a mount fall off doesn't know how to put them on. I landed on mine when I tore my ACL last year, the plastic groove snapped off, I had to pry off the mount. You have to clean the helmet surface, apply the mount when the surface is dry and in a warm location, you can't use the mount instantly, wait a day or two. When you put the mount on, push down on it for a while.

yah we did all of though we cleaned it in our house and waited 2 days and it still fell off it was the paint on there we just sanded a small spot for it and heated the mount and it works perfectly fine now so we do know how to put mounts on we are not idiots!!!!
