Benny Chets Quiver of One ?

I know these babies float like a butterfly.. but seriously, how are they on groomers ?Are they worth investing for only one pair of skis to ski the whole mountain but mostly soft stuff ? Im a poor bastard who can only afford one pair. How do they carve on groomers ? I'm sure they can rail long turns but how about quick turns for speed checking and just for poppy fun.

i have atomic blogs and they are awesome! carve good. Short turns take some extra effort, but if you are a good skier you'll manage fine. Only thing they don't like is ice..

I figure the bents must be kinda the same maybe a little more sluggish.

The blogs are probably a better quiver of one though, if you look past the bents hype..

Dude if your dead set on atomic then the chetlers are phenomenal skis...but I would seriously consider the opus for what your describing

Yeah I have had the opus over a month now and have only rode it on choppy crap and still fell in love...hands down best ski I've ever been on and haven't even touched pow yet...can't wait...chetlers a killer ski for sure but if I put last years chets up against the opus it's no contest...close but the opus feels way more solid in the crud...jus my opinion though...I've got a unique style so it may not work for ya...but I will say my buddy also got the opus early and demoed it earlier in the year on pow and said the exact same thing...best ski he's ever ridden period.

My dad demoed both and he spends most of his time on groomers/bumps and carving and he didn't like the bents but loved the blogs. He said they were the only skis (of like 20 pairs that he tried) that were good on the groomers for powder skis. So I'd say get blogs.

Thanks for all the help guys.Opus definitely looks sick, i Think it's good they thinned down the waist a bit. Pollard always makes a ski look sick. What's the weight like of the blog ? I remember trying the Access and I absolutely hated it, found it waaaay too soft and sluggish. Would the Chets and Opus be more snappy than the access ?

Lib Tech NAS Pow = God. Skied them this winter in fresh snow, groomers, and even some ice, and they were fucking awesome. Definitely not the most super awesomely floaty ski ever, but if you're looking for something to rip up the rest of the mountain I would definitely recommend them. They carved HARD on the groomers/icy stuff, but still held their own in the pow. A little pricey, and I haven't skied most of the other skis mentioned, but I literally fell in love with the Lib Techs as soon as I rode them. Magnetraction FTW.

I'd also consider the new bacons. I got them at the end of last season off warranty for my lizzies, only got two days in on them on slush but I instantly fell in love.

That's the thing about the opus...it's actually super playful....not quite sure how to describe it other that...it shouldn't be that much fun on the hardpack but it is....I honestly think it's gonna redefine all mountain to an extent....it's like last years bacons but more fun...I dunno...I haven't ridden the 12' chets yet but those guys ski together and something tells me their their ski evolution will be similar this year so it's very possible this years chets will be on par with the opus....I really liked last years chets but they felt a touch soft to use all mountain but last years ep pros were real soft too....hope that makes sense to ya....pretty sure either one of those skis will be a win for ya....and don't let the width scare ya for a quiver of one...takes a few runs on groomers to get used to but once ya do you'll love the extra stability and surfy feel....good luck either way!
