Get your self an Arc welder, its a lot easier to use than gas. To bend tubes or box pipe weld the back of the pipe in lines, the more welds the more bend, needs some practice to get the bends smooth. If you want to make long curves you really need a set of rollers so try your metal work forge.

get a wire feed, not a arc because wire is easyer and arc is more money i think

yeah im sure that'd work fine, but i doubt hes going to get alot of use out of it. no private citizen needs to own welding supplies for rails. hes not going to go out and buy welding shit to bend 1 rail for skiing on.

ask the guys at home depot or get the hulk to bend that shit

nah man get a cheap wire feed, if you dont weld a lot and dont need to weld heavy duty things. cambell and hausfield wirefeed welder on home depot for 200, everything you need.

dude dont waste your time with that shit, my friends trampoline got annihillated in some freak storm shit and they brought it to a welder and for 2o dollars the guy welded like six bars back together and its proffesional shit. Get some metal, and bring it to a welder and tell them wat you want, they probably get orders like that all the time... or maybe not but probably better off doing that then learning to weld...

you can pick up an AC lincoln arc welder for under 3 hundo. go to harbor freight and plan on about a bill but "ya gets whats ya pay fo". a flux core mig at harbor will set ya back about 3 hundo, but the weld qualities suck. mig is MUCH easier to do than stick. as for bending, a metal fab shop can set ya up for 50 to a 100, depending on the complexity. tubing will cost about the same. or you can heat with a torch. i have also seem rapping it around a tree work. just depends on what type of bend you are looking for

you shood just do what i do, kick that bar repededly until it bends, and voila, you might have a sore foot but u have one hella bent rail

if you want a c or s rail, don't weld...please. it won't be smooth. Use a pipe bender (don't know the real name for it)....you measure out lines on a straight piece of pipe....closer together makes a tighter arc, farther apart, more mellow...you gotta do some math for it. The thing looks like a big jack. No compressors or anything, it's bent by hand. Ask around at local shops (or welders) and see if they'll do it for ya....it'd be expensive to buy.

yeh man use a pipe bender or sure...get like a 2 inch steelp pipe and locate a local steel shop...if u ask nicley and throw in 10 bucks they should bend it up real nicley.....thats what i would do anyways
