Bending brakes?

Alright, so I know there's a thread on this, but fuck it, don't hate. I have some Head Mojo 11's on K2 Silencers and everytime I fall, even when my boots dont click out, my brakes end up so bent I can hardly get myself to the bottom. I end up having to muscle them back into place on the hill. Is there anything I can do to prevent this? For now, im just bending them back, and the only thing I can think of is just take them off, which isn't really that practical. + Karma for any decent tips..thanks in advance

are you skiing with wide brakes on narrow skis?
cuz if you have correctly fitting brakes they shouldn't bend every time you fall....

my brakes should be skinny enough..but what I'm thinking now is, the hill I skied on yesterday had only like 6 inches of snow, and there was grass showing on the landings of the little kickers. they could have been just catching the dirt. Didn't really notice that too much but I checked out some footy of my friends and we were pretty much landing in grass haha. thanks anyways man

Yeah, maybe change for some narrower brakes?

On a properly fitting brake, the brake arms should be well out of the ay of the snow, and fit snug next to the heel piece. If the brake is too wide, the heel piece wont support it against impact.

Are you using the 85mm brake with the Mojo? Because this should be perfect for the Silencer. If you are, I don't really know. Maybe post some pics?

there the stock brakes that came on em so yeah prolly 85's. it's probably just the lack of snow plus my lack of skiing ability. thanks though..

are you sure your brakes are completely retracted when your boot is clicked in? maybe your shoe-binding-brake combo isnt compatible for some reason.....(this shouldn't be happening but i've heard of ppl not being able to properly click into bindings because they're incompatible, same might go for bindings...)

Yeah, thats a possibility, but my one un-bent brake seems to be fully retracted. Im just gonna bend them so they are as close to the heel peice as I can get them, and hope for the best.

be carefull when bending, maybe heat em up a little (blowtorch perhaps...), brakes can definately break off when trying to bend!

Not an exact answer, but I have Armada poles where I can remove the handles easy... I then just put the brake arm in the pole and lever when I need to readjust the brakes. Although, the Armada pole tips nowadays are shit.
