Bending brakes to make them wider

Is this hard? If it is easy what size have you changed it to? Would bending a 75mm to 90mm brake be too much? Do the brakes hold up after many days of riding, or do they snap, and break?

Easy as pie dude, throw them in a bench vice and bend away. Heat them with a blowtorch if you need to, and bend fairly slowly, if you wrench on them too fast or too many times they might snap. I've bent 105mm brakes to fit my Prophet 130s, so yeah, I wouldn't drop the extra cash on wide brakes if I were you. What kind of bindings do you have?

bent brakes will bend back in time. bend if you wanna lose a ski when they dont clear. just suck it up and buy wider brakes....they're cheap.

a line break most likely wont work with any other binding, they arent all the same.

yea well I'm planning on getting a pair of rossi FKS. Which I can get for 200. Or I could get the FKS with wide brakes, which is gonna run me up 300, (I think 100 extra ontop of an already expensive binding is pushing it)

Ok, LINE brakes only fit LINE bindings, so that's a no-go. If I were you, I wouldn't drop another $100 on the wide brakes when you can do it yourself. And who ever said that bent brakes will bend back is a fucking moron, once you bend metal brakes they stay just fine. There's a full tutorial on bending the P18/FKS series brakes here:

If you get the FKS's, the standard break can only bent to a certain width. If you're looking at somethig over 100/105mm, you're going to NEED the wide brake, and then bend them as well.

100/105 is an estimate. I've heard some people go wider, and some people have a tough time right around there.

See if any of the shops in your area have experience bending FKS brakes because they are a total pain in the ass to do. If you do feel up to the task, you can make those fit at least a 125mm waist with the right bending.

i brought my 90 mm waist width ski to get mounted to my bindings with a 70 or so mm brake. the store i bought them at wasnt used to wide skiis so they just bend my old brakes. I WOULD NOT SUJEST DOING IT. first they broke a pair of brakes and now that they bend a new pair they get stuck all the time. DONT DO IT

If you do it right there will be no issues. Just because your shop sucks at bending brakes doesn't mean it can't be done correctly.
