Bending 110 Shift breaks for 116 JJ untralights

My GF found a pair of used NIB shifts for 600CAD, which is a pretty decent deal when you factor in shipping and taxes. They come w/ 110 wide breaks, does any have experience of bending them to a wider ski? Her JJ's are 116. If she was to buy new breaks it would pretty much bump up the cost to just buying the shifts new.

they should fit on fine with little to no bending. The 110 brakes are 116 or 118 when deployed, can't remember.

it could be that the action will be a bit smoother if you slightly trim the top inside of the plastic nub on the brakearms, as well as slant the tooth a bit.

but long story short - 110mm Shifts are 100% the correct size for 116mm skis.

This 100%

They'll probably be perfect right out of the box. I had the 100 on 110 skis with a little bit of plastic removal on the ends of the brakes to smooth deployment. We also had 90mm on 99mm skis w/o issue.

They will fit perfectly. I ran 110 brakes on my 116 ULs and never bent them. They’re very very generous with the sizing!

You won’t have to bend them. I had a pair of 110mm brakes on a 122 ski with 0 issue or contact between the ski and brake arms.
