BEND WINTERFEST SKI CONTEST...do you have what it takes?

february 9th in downtown bend. if you have the skills send me a message with proof and i'll enter you if i like what i see. a couple thousand bucks for 1st place and one hell of a setup.
 
what, only one or two of you guys are interested? and here i thought i was on "Newschoolers.Com" not "ISitOnTheInternetAndCan'tJib.Com"
 
two 15' bomb drops (with speed into them). the speed you get from landing the bomb drops will set you up for two different rail features. in between the two bomb drops will be larger stepdown that will not have a rail feature after the landing. i kinda get the feeling no one will be prepared for this type of feature....maybe just come and spectate.
 
well from what your saying of only two people interested, me being one of them, looks like there isnt going to be much to spectate. can i get you some video next sunday/monday? or is that too late?
 
hey, im totally interested in doin it but telling us that people like spriggs n matt walker might scare some people away. theres some pretty good people in bend but noone even compares to those guys. try to get a hold of rage films and dan bruton if you want some better riders. maybe that kyler cooley guy will come to it.
 
look, are you entering to throw down because you can? or, do you want to do stock tricks and be sketchy cuz that's what you are? people enter the us open knowing they are going to compete against sammy carlson, jon olson, charles gagnier....etc, so what's your point? you can either jib well or pose on the internet. i am looking for upcomers who can THROW DOWN!!!!! is that too much to ask for?
 
no you want upcomers to throw down so you can make more money off it...but before you start counting people out(cough*me*cough) how bout you hold on a sec and wait 3 days and ill have a promo for you. sorry i have to go to school and cant ski and film everyday

by the way i dont think a jib in downtown bend is quite up to us open standards, but idk just my opinion

and getting so upset and shit does nothing to help get kids interested in competing...at your comp, or anywhere else...
 
i don't make another red cent from up and comers, especially lackluster skiers who say, "i am the shit" and end up looking like shit. thanks for the us open dis', you totally missed my point. you flinched when i mentioned pros coming and that was the comparison to the us open. another thing, you sound like a little whiny skier bitch that i don't want to deal with....save your promo tape and stay at hood. and i'll beat you to the punch on your bitch ass response to this, i am a dick! i build these set ups for you guys to jib, but i end up begging for skier talent, always. oh, you think because me being a dick eliminates the riders from coming? no, i have dozens of steezy highly skilled snowboarders who chomp at the bit to hit the shit i put together and they throw down too, ALWAYS. this site houses little bitches who post everything and wine about this and that without doing shit to back it up in public. eat my dick, you poser bitch ass skiers.
 
hahaha so i take it you snowboard? by the way...i didnt say shit when it came to matt walker and whoever, it just makes no sense to have them come, then be trying to get all these up and comers to show up because kids like matt walker and whoever 1. dont need the publicity to hopefully jump start a career because they already have one and 2. they'll just steal the show. I would have no problem at all being in a contest even if he did make me look like a fool. thats perfectly fine with me it would be sick as hell anyway.

This whole thing seemed really sketch from the start. just a post with no info on features, a legit phone number website or anything. i took the chance to try and find some information out and see what the features were and all i get in response is that i probably shouldn't waste mine and your time and should just "spectate". You havent seen anything of me from a photo to a picture to even how fucking old i am but you were hating all ready. shits unecessary bro. your on here trying to see if anyone is interested, i try to ask a question that makes atleast a little more information available and all i get is an ass of a remark...

Since im putting together a promo for some local shops anyway ill send it to you. whether you choose to even watch it thats beyond me and i could really care less i dont have a NEED to drive all the way to bend for a comp, especially if the organizer is one hell of an unfriendly SOB. Whether you actually are an asshole or not is beyond me i dont know you, but from the start you were a little sketch and a little unfriendly

im confused in this to how all the hate on the event came to be?
if anyone remembers how lame last yrs winterfest was, with a sketchy rail, and the guys running it barely let any skiiers in it.
So the fact we will get to see some sick skiing from pros makes me stoked to see it.
 
Most this shit is ignorant. If you knew who you were talking to and all the work that guy has done for the "industry." Then you would check your shit.

Skiing is fun, Skiers are gay mostly. But whatever this thread has gotten out hand. I just think if you need to check your shit. before you talk it.

actually, most of what i said wasnt born through ignorance because it is fact. he was making personal attacks on people who were potential candidates for his contest. now, PETER and me had a nice little conversation about how he is numero-motha-fuckin-uno in this "industry" so i could really care less who the fuck he is or what the fuck he has done, because at the time, i thought he was being a prick. me and him squashed this beef, heard all sides and shit was cooked and over with. so, ya need ta know ya shit before ya start talkin or this shit is gonna jump off...

So are spriggs and walker coming to this? It would be sick cuz its just gonna push whoever is there harder, plus you get to go against some of the best, why complain about it? What are the rails gonna be? Flat down? Handrail?
 
First: Whoa, everybody chill the fuck out! Remember, this is the Internet, where people come to express their brotherly love and mutual respect for one another, right?

Second: If anything makes skiing "gay," it's too much attitude. So if you've got some (this goes for everyone), do us all a favor and stick a Look heelpiece in it. NOBODY is cool on the Internet, although far too many people are trying hard.

Third: This event sounds super dope, and I probably DO NOT have the skills to hit these features. No frontin' yo. So I'm going to bring a camera instead and shoot it for NS.

In conclusion: The next time some aggression needs to be spewed, go get in a bar fight and keep this pointless trash off Newschoolers.
 
The set-up is being erected as we speak and it's looking like it's going to be a great event. Hopefully everyone can sqaush the internet beef, come on out to the WinterFest ,and enjoy the competition whether your in it or just watching with your bros. Oh yeah, for all you 21+ .....don't fear the beer garden is near!!!
