Beirut or beer pong?

k this needs to be set straight. it doesnt matter what size of cups you play with or anythign like that. if you use paddles (like beerfest) its called beer pong.( if you go to the keystone factory u can actually get keystone beer pong paddles). if you throw or bounce the ball it is called beirut.
 
dartmouth represent bitches... we play real pong up here. But, I'm not gonna lie I called it beer pong in hs and threw the ball with no paddles. But, pong has paddles, beirut doesn't, end of story
 
listen bud. u have no idea what you are talking about. think about it. beer pong- ping pong? ping pong is played with paddles, wouldnt beer pong be too? plus u dont always play what i call beirut on a ping pong table but often on a piece of ply wood. to play beer pong you must use a pong table. if u dont beleive watch beerfest or go to the keystone factory and ask what their ping pong paddles are for.
 
u r retarded. I play beer pong every day on piece of plywood with no paddles. Just because ur school calls it 1 thing does not mean that everybody else is wrong.
 
i see, and what college do u attend that says this is true. i was at ucla two weeks ago for a college visit and from what the guys that i was staying iwht on the soccer team say , it does exist there.
 
haha ur not even in fucking college. the fact that u dont even go to college yet really makes you an athority on how beer pong is played there and what it is called. and by the way I go to LSC and there and at all teh other schools that i have drank at it is called beerpong and no paddles r used
 
im gonna have to go with beer pong = beirut. at least in my highschool it is. never heard of using paddles
 
actualy if you ask any professor or any teacher, they will say wikipedia is one of the worst sources to cite. its an unprofessional, public site that anyone can go and edit, half of it is inaccurate or wrong.
 
first of all, i've never met anyone who plays with fucking paddles. that is the lamest shit ever. second of all, i know people from the south, west coast and all over the midwest who all call it beer pong. the only people i know of who call it beirut are northeasterners. plus, look at all the national websites and organizations for the game: they all call it beer pong. really, it doesn't matter which you use, but the vast majority of people say beer pong.

wow i agree wiht lil g? Amazing. But, don't rip playing with paddles before you try. It actually takes skill and is a lot of fun. It takes a bit longer, but it is a lot of fun. I thought it was retarded before i tried it, and since I'm and equal oppurtunity drinking game man, i play both, mostly pong cause thats what is played here.
