alright so im finally getting much better at skiing, getting my rails down and my spins down. but i love filming and editing so im gonna get myself a canon hv40. will my progression as a skier decrease? or is doing both no big deal.

Deffinatly- Right there, its hard to be the good skier and filmer, ive had to just give my friends the camera to film me, but ive had to do lots of the filming, it will decrease on your ski time. same dilema here.

You'll probably end up flying off the corner of a jump and landing on the deck. That's the only thing that is for sure about filming.

i agree completely. just make sure john ware is actually going to go off the jump and not speed check it when you film him

i just dont want to be like the guys that film legit segments. obviously i'm not going to that level of skiing and filming, but guys that film like traveling circus and shit arent seen. i still wanna be good at skiing while having fun filming and editing

has that vid been released.
I am thinking about this too, but there are so many days, so if i ski most of the time it should be no big deal.

in all seriousness its completely up to you. dont let others decide what you think is fun. those guys that film and edit all the time dont do it because they have to, they do it because thats what they love to do. if you want to balance skiing and filming then do it so you get the most enjoyment you possibly can out of the season

just make sure to keep ur skiing a priority, when u start to film more than ski for sure u will loose some skillz, its all in the practice
