Well, from my perspective the point of this was missed long ago. Everyone is once again making assumptions, and stating heresay as fact. How do we know Berg awsn't tortured before he was executed? How do we know all this stuff that people say happened to those Iraqi prisoners actually happened (I'm not saying it didn't, cause it's a fact that shit did go down) but some of the stuff listed in earlier posts seem to come from heresay when I know you haven't seen the pictures for yourself. The fact is, this civilian who was over there to help rebuild a country was kidnapped and executed for no more than idiological reasons, he, didn't do anything. So where do these 'facts' come from that we've been chopping Iraqi's to peices in order to get information from them come from. I know the points of the geneva convention very well and I'm having a hard time believing that anyone here knows what they're talking about when they're throwing all this info out here. We're talking about an innocent being murdered, thos guys in that prison weren't innocent, and we've yet to chop one of their heads off... Like I said I'll never understand the muslim reasoning system cause it makes no sense, they find reason with no reason.

another thing to think about is the fact that soldiers who are over in Iraq just getting their time over with are questioning why we're there...when they dont have faith in what the government is doing, it should be a red flag for the rest of us. Im guessing the end of this war will probably be something like vietnam with the US leaving in a quiet retreat disguised as up appeasing forgeing wishes to leave Iraq...

Man, I really get the feeling that some of you guys just can't stand the United States, it's like no matter what we do, we are doing the wrong thing, I'm a little blown away by that. As a European ik don't dislike the US, I only dislike current US politics. And I am aware of the hypocrisy of some of the European countries, altough I find that argument rather used to quick by the hawks in the White House, certainly in this case. In former Yugoslavia, they definitely had a point.

That idea to go to Iraq to 'wipe out terrorism' was a big mistake from day one. Linkin Hussein to Al-Qaeda and Bin Laden, the search for WMD',... plain BS. 'the iraqi government is not able to proove that the weapons aren't there'. Com'on!

And the real reason ? not only oil guys. Having a US base in the middle-east is another one, a lot of lucrative deals (they wished!) for US companies who backed Bush during the election again another, but mostly, underlining the fact that the US is superpower nr. 1 in the world.

Thereby liberating the Iraqi people is a nice and very welcome side-effect.

And all that all in the name of the 'fight against terrorism', mymy. Something tells me the number of 'terrorists' (what's in a name) hasn't exactly decreased the past years.

He disappeared 9th of April and his body was found 8th of May. Prison abuse scandal started on 28th of April. I think he was killed after the scandal started because according to BBC netsite one of the men in the video says before the killing of Mr Berg: 'How can a free Muslim sleep well as he sees Islam slaughtered and its dignity bleeding, and the pictures of shame and the news of the devilish scorn of the people of Islam - men and women - in the prison of Abu Ghraib?'

And I think it's good that media doesn't talk about it too much, because publicity is just what those terrorists want.

I may sound like an asshole but i dont find the Prison Scandal to be a big deal so they dressed them up and took pictures worse things happen all day in our actually prisons and their is no outcry. Interogation and breaking down the prisoners is a part of war we still treat our POWS alot better than they treat ours!

Some people question 'why' and wonder 'how'. They just can't seem to grasp 'how' or 'why' we do what we do. Others don't understand, they just continue to wonder. The truth of the mater is that we can't explain it either. All we can say is 'snow so deep you sink up to your hips', 'hits so big you can't see the landing', 'rails with all kinds of bends and kinks', 'natural cliffs and tree runs that you can't explain with any other word than sick' and still they don't understand what we do. On a board or skiis, it is the same. A feeling of freedom and expression in a way so uncommon. But still, they don't understand....

I understand your anger^,i felt almost the same way when terrorists linked to Al-Qaeda bombed the trains in Madrid,but then I thought that revenge(if there was going to be any,which there hasn't been,we just pulled out of Irak)woulod only cause more pain to other people,and,quite frankly,i don't want innocent people to suffer because someone's thirst for revenge.

i saw some pictures from the video, and i thought i had to see it. so i searched for it and found it after a really long time. they have taken it off of like every site. it took me 10 minutes to decide whether to watch it or not. i am seriously scared, it was one of the creepiest things i have ever seen. seeing the guy hold the head up with an expression still on the face. i dont know guys, but if u wanna watch it be ready.
