Hey Newschoolers,

You may remember me making a similar thread last year. Well i have taken on all the advice you gave me and put together a new edit, I hope you enjoy.

+K to any thoughts/opinions

really enjoyed this actually but I kinda think that in some shots you should have gotten closer to the skier but that happens when you film with a GoPro but overall nice work.

get closer. a lot closer

also the super after effects logo was pretty cheesy for something as simple as a gopro edit

Id say the editing was pretty good, i didnt like the logo at the beginning, only cause its a little intense for a short gopro edit. But filming wise, the shots were pretty steady and smooth, id say just get alot closer with your gopro. I used a gopro last yr for some shots and i like to stand 10-15 feet away from the subject. The constant back and forth between regular speed and slo-mo got a little tiring but overall i thought that was a pretty good all around edit. Nice job and keep it up! Also, what effect did u use at 1:34? Ive been trying to figure it out. Did u use After effects? FCP?

It's just freeze frames of the rider masked out and motion tracked to something, not that well though

Thankyou guys for the feed back 10/10 for all. I used a Hague MMC stabilizer, works pretty well. The effect at 1:34 is called motion tracked snap shots, as for the shaking its hard to track someone in a panning shot.

Heres last years video for a comparison:
