Beer pong table ideas

collect a bunch of bottle caps from bottles of beer and glue them to your table and cover the whole thing with a design in it then cover it with a thin piece of clear plastic. i want to get a CU design in the middle like that. if you wanna go crazy you can put different colors under where the cups go to show where to rack em. if its done well its so sweet.

yea ive seen that done before and i love it buuuuut we are college students and beer bottles are not consumed enough to collect enough for a table. mostly vodka.. any ideas on a graphic for the top? probably made out of wood

What are you trying to do? Portable or creative?

This is ours: Removable legs, carry handles, ball holder, hardwood top, crown molding, foam on the inside to keep the beer cold, locking end to keep those pesky kids out.

word, gotta admit itd be sick though
i donno youtube has some good ideas. I remember a post on this earlier this summer, there were some sick ideas there too. you could cover it in a shitload of stickers

i'll try to get pics of mine up soon, i took a sheet of plywood(go to a hardware store and ask if they have anything from the bottom of a stack thats a little warped they will either give it to you for free or mad cheap) cut it down to about 2 1/2-3 feet wide. Then what i did was put 1x3 strips around the side so no beer will fall to the floor and cover the whole thing in a few coats of poly, i still wanna put a big grafic in the middle, probably wait for my friend who is really good a graffiti to throw something on it or just cover it with ski stickers. Then im gunna get either a sheet of plastic or just dump a full can of clear poly on it to fill it up so it wont get moldy or warp. to make legs i took the legs off a foldable table that was broken in half and just put thoes on the bottom.

those are sweet^^ but we just need sick graphic designs. my friends sister is an architect/graphic designer and just needs to know what we want and she will make it for us!!

that table whoever posted with pictures is fuckin dope. as long as its wide enough, thats baller status right thurr.

i was just up at uconn and they had the table desinged just like the huskeys basketball court. i thought that was cool

make something using an air hockey table design where the table has bout 2 inch deep circles to hold the cups. then with the air hockey system cool air will flow under each cup keeping your beer cold...then throw a sweet design on it and you got an OG air cooled beer pong table

check my profile picture, its teh one me and my friends made for prom weekend, 8x3 feet all bottle caps with plexi glass voering the top, civil war triangles and beer pong triangles

School or sports logo's are always cool. Anything that interests you could probably be turned into a sick graphic for the table, just look a pictures until you find one you can visualize on your table.

here is a picture of mine. You can't really see it that well but one side is all gold Miller lite caps and the other is all black corona caps. In the middle is a big CU in gold caps outlined with silver caps. Also here is the bar we made for our house "877 11th St" Ill try to get some better pictures of the table but it took over 3500 caps, a custom cut piece of plexiglass and bounces like a dream and is sturdy as an ox

i've seen some with lighting under the edges so you can see a soft glow under the clear plastic. looks dope if done right. that and you can get a cheap water pump for a fish tank and a cheap inline filter with some tubing and splitters and rig it up to pump fresh water into the top of the rinse cups and pull the dirty water from the bottoms. angle the clean water return hose so it creates a whirlpool in the cup so the balls get cleaned constantly. it works really well, i've seen it in person. of course be careful when making any sort of drinking table that plugs directly into the wall, but super nice if pulled off right.

dude a really fun and easy way to get it decked out is to go to a hobby store and get a bunch of sharpies and other permanent markers, and when people come play on it you can have them sign it or tag it or draw somthing, we did that and we had some sweeet ass tags and some funny shit written on it.

I have used it all to play pong. Dresser that was 3 ft long and 1ft wide. Door held up by two couches. But we normally use an actuall ping pong table, bounce is perfect and can fit a lot of cups.

Just use some logo from what ever school you go to. For instance my current table has a Giant Block "O" on the top and says Ohio State waterski with a slalom skier on it (in black and red), my friends table is black and silver has a big block "O" on it and a ton of wakeboarding / skiing stencils, another Table at another house I've been to was scarlet and grey and looked like Ohio Stadium. The one I'm currently designing either is going to say OSU in the writing from DaVinci code (where you can read it both ways) or it'll incorperate a block "O" somehow. But for now what is on my list of things to make is a shotski.

whats the writing look like??? and shot skis are so easy to make, the longer the ski the better and simple super glue shot glasses shoulder width apart but im sure you knew that. just gotta find some super old 230 DH ski and your set haha

this is from when i was at ASU, dont have a pic of the one here in washington though, but thinking about changin it to gettin a blown up picture of my local hills trail map and lay plexi over it.

The only problem with the shotski is that the slalom ski (from waterskiing) is back at my other house in Cincinnati and I haven't gone home to get it yet.

I am considering getting some old DH skis too though and making a snowski shotski with like 6-8 on it. the waterski will probably be 4 (it's what we have on our one now and I want to make one to duel)

The idea so far for the OSU looks kinda like this (but drawn a lot better because I did this in paintbrush in about 30 sec.

I think I fucked up the picture so let me try again

I was about to correct all of these ignorant fools on their terminology.

BEER PONG IS PLAYED WITH PADDLES!!!!

this is true, but in general ive only heard east coast kids refer to it as beruit.. and in general i do.. BOSTON FTW

i dont have any pics of it right now, but we got a shit ton of sobe cap and glued them to the table, so u can read what they say. and then we put Plexiglas over in so it would be flat

you could make recessed cup holes. there good for when your really drunk cause you cant tip over the cups, but they limit your re-rack options a little.
you could laminate photos on it.
you could put a bartop finish on it over bottle caps, or any other stuff you want on it
I once played with some bull riders and they had a table that had copenhagen tin lids recessed into it to set the cups on.
i also once played on a table with a laminated nudie poster on it.
the possibilities are pretty much endless, but whatever you do make sure it is waterproof, and sufficiently braced so some drunk leaning on it doesn't interrupt play, or worse, break the table.

My friends have a very similar table to that. It's short (height wise) as hell though and they allow way too much leaning for my liking. Ironically, I have yet to lose on that table...

Me and my buddy are planning on building two tables:

-We have one built and just spray painted black right now, but we are planning on adding a german-style crest with our house nickname in the center of the table and the MTU logo in the corners. We'll probably add some cup outlines and possibly wash cup holders.

-For the second one, we're planning on using a bunch of hockey tickets and pictures we have to make some kind of design (similar to the bottle cap ideas mentioned already). We're gonna cover that with some clear solid material, and add hockey stick edges around the table. It should be pretty sweet if we can pull it off.

Also, I don't get why people put up such a big fuss about the name. Beer pong...Beirut... who gives a fuck? Different places call it different names. Settle down and be a little more tolerant of other people.
