Beer and weightlifting

so im a skinny motherfucker and ive been lifting a little for the past month. I need all the calories I can get, and beer has 200 calories per bottle. I know its "empty calories" but I have a fast metabolism and i should just burn it anyways.

its hard to eat right after lifting cause im kind of nauseous, but drinking a beer feels great. any problems with this?
 
that is quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever heard

if you want to gain weight in fat drink beer, if you want to gain good weight then eat lean meats or drink a protein shake after your workout
 
key is moderation. if you have a fast metabolism and can burn that shit off quick, there's definitely nothing wrong with a couple

be careful though. i too am a skinny piece of shit, but have since been gaining muscle by lifting since the start of this year. first quarter though i was binge drinking 40s, flats, all kinds of beer at least 4-5 nights a week and got a gut quick. i've toned down since then (both gut and on the drinking) but beer will always be number one in my HEART HEART KISSEZ MUAH MUAH
 
oh and if you're drinking to gain weight, then just no. i thought you meant drink as having a cheat meal or something
 
I understand, but I am at no risk for putting on any fat. I can only gain muscle. I eat whatever the fuck I want and I have zero body fat. my dad is the same way, his metabolism only changed when he got to be over 40. both my parents are some of the only thin people their age I know, and are in excellent health
 
i had to go to some alcohol meeting today and this lady said that if you drink after lifting, it fucks up your muscle building shit. or something.
 
not a good idea. beer will add bad calories and also dehydrate you so your cells won't be able to build up and be stronger with less water.
 
no, do not do that, if you are going to buy anything get weight gainer, drink those then you will see a steddy increase of weight about a pound a week, if you as skinny as you say you are, you are better off getting the gainer versus the protein
 
drop the beer if you want to get in shape. yeah i know its hard, i got the same problem and its increasing since the playoffs are starting.
