while i am so glad they are finally doing this movie, i dont think of Russel Crowe when i picture Robin Hood, but i can understand why hes there considering he worked with Ridley Scott on Gladiator

haven't seen costner's robin hood, but i have seen the cartoon one from 10+ years ago i think, and i loved it. if this new one even compares to that i will be so happy.

which cartoon are you talking about, the Disney, or another one. I loved the Disney one, but there was another one that I loved as a kid. All I can remember from it right now was a scene where a bunch of the merry men were chopping wood.

Exactly what i said in my first post, i dont see Russel Crowe when i think of Robin Hood, it just doesn't fit well in my mind. but we'll see how he does.

no-one thought Heath Ledger would make a good joker and he made an Unbelievable one

crowe seems too beefy to pull it off. Robin Hood usually strikes me as a smaller and agile guy.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. Don't get me wrong, I like Crowe, but I don't think he fits the part.

The trailer looked like they took parts of Lord of the Rings and made them into a Robin Hood movie.

I'm sure the movie will be good, it'll just feel weird.
