Anybody been to a club?

It's my birthday, I have not SHIT to do and my parents completely forgot about it. theres no good show's at any venue's around here, so I think I'm just going to to a gay club for the first time ever. got my bro's ID so I'm good.

how bad is it if you go there around open (10:00) as opposed to waiting? are clubs awkward, or is everyone just chilling out?

personal preference: I do not really enjoy clubs, I prefer bars where there is a stage for "dancing" but a lot of area just to chill. I like going to meet new people, go out with the boys and well yeah. Clubs are a little too much for me but it depends on the circumstances.

have fun if you go, i enjoy clubs more being browned out

as to OP, clubs are something you have to go to at least a few times and figure out if it's your thing or not. Gay clubs are an especially ridiculous experience. As a straight male, I'll say that I never realized how few inhibitions the gay community has as opposed to what one would experience at a non-LGBT club.
 
a gay club? I guess if you want to have a good time wear a shirt that says "I'm a straight virgin" and there will be dicks in you in no time at all.

Gay clubs are pretty slow when they open I think (the only one I went to was DEAD from 10-1), so if you go right at open you may get too wasted/burnt out before it gets busy. But you will probably have a good time regardless.
 
Never been to the club...only the Scrip Club..and that was an amazing night lol..my older friends took me and my other 18 year old friend there and paid for our dances..it was sick.

But nahh usually nasty hoes go to the club just saying.

A lot of gay people I know prefer a regular nightclub more because there are less drugs and they don't get hit on all night and they like dancing. They still meet other guys there too.

 
Straight clubs are fucking lame in my experiences. Douchebag Long Island type guys bathing in hypermasculine sexism with self-subjugating women. I'm into girls too, but for fucks sake, not girls that are THAT stupid.

Gay clubs, on the other hand, are a riot. Go to one, and expect to have a ton of fun, dance like crazy, and get laid. A hip flask is a must, though, unless you're super twinky and are into the expensive fruity shit (or you're at a leather bar - those are the best), you're gonna wanna pack your own whiskey or something. Watch out for the really old aggressive gay dudes though. Yuck.
 
First off, Happy birthday man!

Secondly, I'll give some insight to the night scene (I have very little).

To start, I've been to a gay bar, it was actually a really good atmosphere. My old roommate is gay, and he took us there on a night of club hopping. It was one of the places where you can sit in a lounge and get a drink, and if you wanted to dance, there was a dance floor with a dj and everything. Really fun places, and if you're young, every guy there has his eye on you.

Other clubs, not my scene. Music isn't the best, and the atmosphere isn't the best unless you're completely out of it. The Calgary club scene is mostly guido douches.

The best places to go are the bar type places with live bands. Those usually bring in different crowds (more of the lets just have fun and dance, as opposed to the lets get pumped up and try to bang as many bitches), and are what I go into the most
 
Clubs can be the west place ever. In Toronto there are always thousands of fuckers that I do not have interest in hanging out with. It makes me angry. But if you find the right crowd and have a good group of friends you can have fun there. hbd bro
 
clubs are aight if your with a ton of bros tryin to hook up with rando sluts(no disrespect to the ladies but anyone who hooks up with someone over a dance is just plain slutty, on the male side as well) or if you do some mdma and just dance away. Otherwise hit up the bar, sounds like your goin solo anyways, you got a better chance at chillin meetin some cool dudes to drink with and ruckus for the night

if your going to a club dont go right when it opens, it will be empty usually be like fashionably late hahah never been to a gay club but been to lots of other clubs. usually pregame and dont buy drinkst here unless ur rich as hell. showing up drunk is the best anyways
 
Happy Birthday Mr. Steeze. Anyways, heres the best thing of life, one day when I was sick I was watching departures (fucking awesome show) and anyways they were in Russia with the Shaman in this video. He's like practiced in 4 different religions. After hearing that and watching this part of the episode, I couldn't believe myself.

 
dont put em on the pedestal. most of em are just filled with greasy dbags with collars popped and gelled hair / jewelry and slightly overweight sluts that pretend they dont want attention but then dance like they're on the pole.go to bars, drink pitchers, jam out to live music. bunch of people having a fun time. that's where it's at. clubs are for try hards who pretend to be cooler than they are
 
ITT: privileged kids so sheltered that the idea of encountering a homosexual (yes, a real one) on the internet comes as a surprise.

Also, I hate clubs. Unless they're Boys Clubs.

Didn't read the thread. Happy birthday though. Clubs suck. Go to a bar that has a dance floor. Clubs are just full of Jersey Shore wannabes and douches. Find a chill ass bar and go there instead.

I realize this advice is probably too late, but whatever. Have fun whatever you do. If you go to a club/bar whatever just party it up and have fun yeeahhhh.
 
Gay clubs are a lot of fun, even if you're straight. The music is good, and a lot of gay guys take their straight female friends with them. As long as you embrace the culture and don't act like a nervous/ douchy hetero kid, you'll have a lot of fun.
