with all this recent news about earthquakes in indonesia, i was just wondering if any of you have actually been in a earthquake? and if so, how big was it?

My dad was in the great alaska EQ. he says he was watchin the tube when the ground started shaking then everything in their cabinets shattered and the electrical shit went jew-wire and the lights were shaking and the dogs were barking and the cats were meowin' and the cows were mooin' and everything went chimpshit

i don't know if any of you have heard of the northridge earthquake that happened in 1994 in southern california, but i lived down here. let, me tell you.. it an earthquake is the scariest fucking thing you will ever experiene. i believe the northridge earthquake was a 6.9

this picture is of a freeway interchange that is actually in my town.

we had one here back in 88 and it was only 5.6 but our house shook a bit and our dogs houled just befor it hit, funny how animals feel it more than we do.

'It stirs up envy, fame does.People.. feel fame gives them some kind of privilege to walk up to you and say anything to you-and it won't hurt your feelings-like it's happening to your clothing.I don't mind making jokes, but I don't want to look like one.

^dag, yo, but I think the AK one was like a 9.0 or something like that. I can't remember which is bigger, the San Francisco one, or the AK one.

there was a random one here in ny (central/western) in like 1994 or 1995...just shook the house a bit and made the lights flicker, some glasses and plates fell but it was nothing compared to the bigger ones in cali. and asia and stuff. it was wierd as hell it just felt like a really loud and huge airplane was flying really low

i've been in multiple hurricanes, but never in an earthquake although I probably did but I was sitting in a car so I couldnt feeel it.

Gravity sucks

What's the difference between a drunk and stoner at a stop sign???

The drunk speeds through, the stoner waits for the sign to turn green.

ive felt a sonic boom before too

in california, i was in palm springs and there is an air base near by and that huge fuckin supersonic plane the XR-71 or whatever flew over and broke the sound barrier

they had pictures of it in the newspaper the next day and everything it was nuts

it felt like an earthquake though

i was in one once but it was a tiny one and I honestly didnt know there had been an earthquake until the next day when everyone was talking about it, so i guess it kinda doesnt count.

i live an hour from edwards air force base, which is where the space shuttle lands when weather is bad in florida. sonic booms just ratlle the house, it's not a feeling like the ground is moving underneath you. it's still crazy though.

i was right in the sonic boom though

like i was a part of it, it happened to me

maybe thats why it felt so violent

i was in a little, yet kinda serious one ... there wasnt any damage but i was mad hungover and partially slept through it thinking i was dreaming

im on the coast in CA so im in earthquakes all the time. usuallyt heyre little, small jolts. i like them, i think theyre fun. the one that totally wrecked downtown and stuff was a big one... the SF one when i was a little girl was gnarly... my room is literally built on the loma prieta fault line and its fun to be in here during earthquakes... anyone thinkt heres gonna be another big one? were more than due over here...

there was supposed to be a pretty big one before september. like a 9.0.. obviously didn't happen, but there will undoubtedly be more earthquakes in the future. i like pretty close to that san andrea fault. good thing i am moving to mammoth. so i can have my apartment been carried away by lava..

Yep But i never feel them, im always disapointed as shit when i find out i missed one.

Just dip your dong in paint and smack your helmet with it.

well i ive in mammoth and there used to be atleast 400+ quakes a week. you would only feel a few but there were that many. its calmed down now to only a few dozen a week
