Beef jerkey

beef jerkey, i always a pack when i go skiing. i know a lot of people eat all kinds of food while they ski but do any of you have one type of food that you always gotta snack on?

jack links on the chair just makes your day good

colorado smoked venison jerky, and when that stuffs gone the jack links nuggets. you are clearly a man of exquisite taste

^never on a chairlift, but i'm now thinking its not such a bad idea. except here in michigan we get a whole 3 minutes so snacks have to be quick

Apparently if you poor Monster on Beef Jerky and let it marinate over night it turns into a magical substance.

i really want to try carrying around a bag of craisins. it just seems like a really good thing to eat while skiing

beef jerkey is so damn good. If it wasnt so damn expensive id rock that for sure on the hill. Martini might be on to something with the seeds.

My dad used to bring like two snickers with him every day and they would freeze in his pockets then he would break em up and give em to me and my brothers.

fuck yea beef jerky, but its like 7 dollars here for a small package so its more practical for me to just go into the cafe and buy food with my staff pass. There was a SICK place that had like 50 kinds of jerky just outside of kamloops in BC though and it wasn't that expensive there.
Damn now i just really want jerky

Beef jerky is either disgusting or I have never had any good stuff...

But yeah, I always eat bars on the chairlift; I eat 6 snickers a day at least...

Ha, I used to do that in elementary school. These days, on the lift, I usually pack up some bomb trail mix with cashews, raisins, goji berries, mango pieces, sunflower seeds, etc. Soooo bomb, and easy to just grab a quick handful on every lift ride.

Jerky is a great idea, only downside is that the best stuff is like $10 a package.

Outside of that, cliff bars. Lots and lots of cliff bars

i always crush mine up in the bag and the open it, pour the seasoning and eat it like a bag of chips....only like 30 cents a package too.

i always hit up a gas station before i go skiing and get jacklink's beef jerky, perferablly teryaki or sweet and hot. i also grab a redbull or a monster or something, a few chodey gatorades (orange or grape, please!) and either some fucking nutrigrain bars (blueberry is good for your brain!) or a few of those crunchy ass nature valley bars in either peanut butter or oats and honey. i eat like this when i ski.

im sorry but that crap is not beef jerky.

anyone from new england please back me up when i mention rossie's beef jerky is undoubtably the greatest product of vermont.

best mountain snack ever

there are a lot of different kinds of jerkey, ive always wanted to go to a place that makes their own.

chocolate chip chewy bars are always good if they dont freeze but raisins are right up there in top chairlift snacks

Glad to hear I'm not alone on the Ramen thing. I did it in elementary school like Mike_d but the habit stuck with me.

Perky Jerky! Actually, one of my dads friend was an early investor in that company. Good stuff.
I always have jerky with me when I ski, well not always, but sometimes. Its nice to have a snack that is easily accessible while skiing.

Man this is absolutely the way to go. It's so much fun coming up with new recipes to marinate the meat in. My current masterpiece is an italian / caesar dressing combo overnight. Oh and it's so cheap, buy 2 lbs of london broil, and 2 days later you have a ton of jerky. Then again I recently acquired a deli slicer and dehydrator so they make preparation easy. Between my housemates and I we probably make 4 - 6 lbs of jerky a week. Kitchen always smells awesome.
