please tell me u have something under the hood of that cause those r some pretty wide tires on that what like225-245's but the car does look smoothe but it has to have balls or its really just a grocery getter if u can even carry anything in it without draggin and rippin a hole in your oilpan.

Its a calypso green 90-92 jetta gli 16v .

first if you dont like that car you don't know shit, second to homie who said those are 245's....... your an idiot, plus that car has 140hp and a notoriosly torquey engine from the factory and im sure (being that it is a VW and not some honda) its not stock under the hood since theres 5k in shoes on the damn thing

good werk Im me for an invite to the vw/audi cult

140 hp oh my fuckin god becky can u believe that, do u even know shit between hotwheels and motor vehichles u dumb motherfucker a stock Honda crx not an si but stock crx has 160 hp "from the factory" just because u were stupid enough to put 5k rims on that piece of shit doesnt mean shit. U R WHAT WE CALL A FUCKING RICER BITCH!IM PART OF A CAR CLUB U DUMB ASS MY TEAMS IN CALIFORNIA FOR SPRING BREAK FOR PRO RACE COMPS AGAINST VIPERS VETTES SUPRAS AND OTHER"more than 140 hp cars"

Have you ever heard of a Lotus Elise? Kind of a stupid question, but after reading your response I thought it would be appropriate. Anyways, that would be a prime example of a low-horsepower car that I'm sure would beat the shit out of whatever you drive.

a lotus elise is a track car not a hot rod or anything thus most of the money that went into the production of the suspension. its still a 4 banger.its not meant for straight aways just track.i have a Mitsubish GSX.

exactly power means nothing if you have a good power to weight ratio, these cars nicley done, hang with vettes on the track and Sti's the only down fall is the FWD it can only handle so much power before more power hurts you.

My bad! Anyways, I just hijacked this thread horribly, let's get back on topic.

I'm not a huge VW fan, but that car isn't TOO bad looking. I wouldn't want to own one myself, but it's a hell of a lot better looking than any little honda ricemobile I've seen. Euro cars just have a lot going for them as far as looks go, it's hard to make one an eyesore.

there is no crx on earth that had 160hp stock. heres the specs for proof(this one IS an si model) http://www.edmunds.com/used/1991/honda/civiccrx/3861/specs.html

heres the specs for a 91 jetta gli 16v while im at it http://www.edmunds.com/used/1991/volkswagen/jetta/6166/specs.html and while the power to weight ratio is pretty impressive i dont think it would be hanging with any sti's or vettes until theyve had some serious mods.

and sorta on topic my friend had a 93 4cyl mustang in calypso green... man im glad he got hit and got money to repaint it.

ok yeah that may be true. i thought you were referring to when they were stock at 134hp. i know a kid who has an insane built and supercharged 86(?) gti 16v. currently lays down 12s with a whole load of wheelspin and looks just so basic and innocent on the outside(plain and simply flat navy paint, with flat black big bumpers).v-dub holdin it down :)

my dad used to have like a late 60's beetle, and it was bored from the 1600cc to like 1935 i think it was? anyway, dropped like 3 inches, black paint, black tint, and chrome wheels. It was soooooo quick. He never ran it on the track but we used to DUMP on cats on the street. I don't remember all the details because i was kinda young, but i remember doing like 2 minute burnouts and doughnuts. it was fucking ill. it would whip around the back end so hard because all the weight was in the back and the front would just sit there and pivot, it was sick

its ok. the front lights are too smoked.

if that car is beautiful, them my car must be the best looking car ever (its close, but I wouldnt say it is..)

i wish I had some better pix of it..

My friend had an old jetta like that... it used to catch fire when he drove it up hills, and I scratched "I wish my wife was this dirty" into the paint on the hood.

What a shitty car. I learned stick on it, though... he sold it for $2000. Someone got assfucked.

Also I hate ricers and their shitty cars. There's a difference between tuners and ricers, though...

also, VW = front wheel drive = :-(

my car is faster then that thing and considering someone said that the wheels were $5,000. my car costs as much as the wheels...

my car has 189 HP and similar torque, and while it is hevier I guerentee it is faster.

yea, no kidding. the 328s and m3 have those body color, along with the gray parts on the bumpers. I am going to paint those. also, with the gray on the sides, I can scrub off the gray with Super Clean and it is my car color underneath. so all I actually need to paint would be the bumpers. which I can probably do myself with a little help and instruction, and enough sanding. there is this site that mixes cans according to your vin number for $14 each.

u know thats funny cause we did 10 pulls on the dyno with my buddys 88 SI before we put mods on it and it hit 158hp and eventually hit 161hp the books r not always right for example a 2005 mustang cobra is a 300 hp rated car when it really pulls around 380 to 420 depending on which states u buy it in.

there is something wrong there. unless he bought it with an engine swap already done and for some reason didnt know, his bone stock crx would not produce numbers like that. i guess i wouldnt know for sure but when the books are "off" they dont usually give you a number that is near half of what the car would put down at the wheels. also why would you spend the money and time for 10 pulls on a dyno to get baseline numbers BEFORE you mod and tune a car. most people lay down one dyno run to see bone stock power, then spend good money tuning the car on many runs AFTER mods have been installed. your next statement makes even less sense. first there is no 2005 cobra. stock 2005 GT's are rated at 300hp and tend to dyno at a little LESS than the factory numbers not 80-120 more. if maybe you were referring to the 03-04 cobras they were rated at 390hp and dynoed suprisingly close to the factory numbers. the 07 cobra that will be released this year was originally rated at 450hp and has been showing power more around 470hp. something is not correct with what your saying.
