Beater park ski: cheap Line chronics

Yo I found a pair of 2020 line chronics 95 for 165$ (pretty great condition) you guys think they are worth it for a beater park ski ?

I’m just worried about lines durability, would it be worth it to save some more cash and get something else used ?

personally i would but i cant think of any good park skis that go for under 5 hundred, chronics arent a horrible option but they probably wont last more than two season. less depending on how hard and often you ski.

I rode 3 different pairs of line chronics for 5 consecutive years. I think that’s well enough for a park ski. And I was a heavy user. In my experience the only ski that has held better is the poacher.

My poachers lasted 10 days

Lmao 5 years? you must have gotten the golden goose of the batch or don’t ride rails at all. LINEs haven’t lasted me over 7-10 days in the park since a pair I had in the early 2010s. I won’t buy them anymore. And go figure, they’re made in the same factory as K2 poachers.

OP it’s a gamble but honestly if someone rode them and is re-selling them and they’re not already busted you might be ok. Or they’ll explode in a couple days

I broke my chronics after about two seasons and I didn't even really ski park in em. Snapped the core after casing a mogul gap really badly

3 skis in 5 years. 1.66 years per ski. You know math? And I skied probably 50 days a year on avg and mostly rails.

So you got one pair, and they broke, in 2010? And you believe that one of the biggest ski manyfacturers can’t make a decent ski? Good reasoning.

Your experience with one pair over 10 years ago is more viable than my experience with 3 pairs within the last 7 years is more viable?

nah he’s saying that the last time a line ski of his didn’t brake in 10 days was in 2010.

165 is pretty solid I’d go for it. They’ll be good to learn park on but don’t expect them to last

make a decision on your own bruh. sounds like at your level it's fine even if line is known for bad durability. i got chronics too so we're in this together.

Get the skis

I just went through the same decision on some reckoner 102s for $150 that were in great condition. Same problem though, a good all mtn/park ski with a history of horrible quality. No buyers remorse yet but I know I took a risk, just not gonna hammer them and hope it’s all good. If you’re learning still and not gonna seriously abuse those things they’ll be fine and you’ll be good
