Beat the Geek Squad

I've tried to warranty my 4th generation 20 gb Ipod twice at BestBuy to get the Video. I'm 0 for 2. The Geek Squad kicks my ass and makes me look like an idiot every time. Do any of you know how I can fool these mother fuckers so my ipod seems really fucked? The last time I went I thought I had it in the bag when I got waited on by a black guy at the customer return desk but the Geek Squad was called to the scene. HELP ME!

uhhh comeon, it has a circuit board, it can be shorted easily. just dunk it into a bucket of water and it should fry that fucker. and shock it with static and grab abig magnet to help

if it's not broken why would you expect them to warranty it?

and screw the video anyway, who wants to watch movies on a 3inch screen? talk about a guaranteed headache.

so you would rather take the old ipod, which is 2 oz. heavier, and only a 2inch screen.

or the video that is thin, light, and a 2.5 inch screen. that has capabilities of playing videos for future upgrades.

They can probabaly detect if it's dunked in water... would a magnet really work?? Does anyone know a way to fuck with the software so it won't boot up?

mine honestly had a problem, it would pause at random times for no reason so i took it into the geek squad and they are like "well we can prove its doing it" so they didnt return it. if they had sent it in they would have found out there really was a problem. i ended up calling apple directly to get support for it.

if you dunk it in H2O there is a little spot that turns a certain color, its the same way with cell phones, compaines arent stupid, they do this so they dont get fucked by ppl like you, not that i wouldnt try the same thing,

well i woudnt literally dunk it hahah, but yet have it running a drop a few on the main board.

better yet if u do take it apart, grab a D battery, or any kind should work. you can use a paper clip if you dont have circuitry wires and shit. make a current from the battery with the paper clip and then also put the circuit board in the loop. this will most definatly take out some vunerable resistors and capacitors, cover those eyes cuz something could blow off. like a cap or soemthing haha.

opening the case voids the apple 1yr warranty. don't know if the geek squad people know if it's opened but the apple techs will

if there is an apple store around your town bring it there, i have warrenteed mine there 2 times and one of them was when the warrentee was up

Tazer it, fun times will ensue. Other then that all the other methods they could tell pretty easily exactly what happened.

what kind of bitch stun gun is that, yeah maybe 50,0000 volts would fuck up an ipod, but come on, my buddy had a shitty handheld one with 2 million volts, 50,000 volts would barely stop a fucking rabbit

put it in the microwave. seriously when i was younger i put our cordless phone in there to see what it sounded like on the other end, and it just made a big spark. i took it out and it never worked again. you couldn't tell by looking at it either. just don't do it for too long, you shouldn't have to buy a new micorwave.

if you have the car adapter plug it in and turn your car on and off and keep doing that everytime you turn on your car it shorts it a little bit my friend is on his like 9th ipod from doing that

This is why you dont buy it at a store, its best to buy online(apple.com), but you get the same ipod you used to have, but its no questions asked.

me and my friend bought ours at the store and we just call aplle when they stop working they alwqays send us new ones, he just got his 20g no-photo upraded to a 60g photo for free and i am kinda pissed casue they havn;t done that with mine yet

put it in a plastic type case and drop it. It shouldnt show an impact, but will probably shatter the harddrive...worked for my ipod mini

what if you fuck it up and they find out if you did it on purpose? does that mean you just trashed 300 bucks?
