Beartooth summer session

Still waiting on word from organizers but we would like to get a much bigger event going. Shay is down, we are down, pretty sure ON3P is down....

We (ON3P) sent a proposal to the ski area, we are working on finalizing a few things before we release info. There will be a session. More info will be released very soon.

Hey guys, were still waiting a few more days to release more complete details. The 2nd Annual Beartooth Summer Session will be held June 20-23. It includes 3 days of free demos, a guided backcountry ski day with the ON3P demo fleet, and a finale of a big mountain slopestyle comp. Like I said, more details coming soon but get stoked.

Our Facebook page is www.facebook.com/beartoothsummersession Check it out, share it with your friends and like it if you haven't already.

Hope everyone's spring is going well, see you in a few weeks.

How much is it looking like its going to cost for all this? Sounds Awesome can't wait!

Looking for a little clarification here: June 20th - 23rd is 4 days. Will the demo actually be 4 days or is the 20th or 23rd actually not included in the session? Definitely hoping its on at least one weekend day.

The free demo days will be on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and possibly Sunday. (Depending on interest, and how crazy the after party gets on Saturday night).

On Thursday, Beartooth Mountain Guides will be holding a snow safety clinic and on Friday they will take a group on a guided backcountry tour. On Saturday there will be a "big mountain slopestyle" comp.

Negative. We do have 2 pairs with Hammerheads. Beartooth Mountain Guides is leading the backcountry day. They have a Tucker snocat and the possibility of a vehicle shuttle depending on where they decide to go.

There will be a fee for the backcountry day (no different than buying a lift ticket) that will be announced with the other prices.

Thanks for the info! It would be great if you could include Sunday in the demo as Saturday will basically be out w/ the big mountain comp. I remember last year that the majority of the steep terrain was closed during the comp.

i sprained it really badly in march, playing catch at the base area. it was retarded. havent skied in two months.

Is the mountain going to be open to the public this summer on weekends which aren't this one?

The mountain is open to the public every day. The mountain will be open during the session, the only exception will be on Saturday where the park and part of the mountain will be closed for the competition.

So... I just sold my last functional pair of skis, and we don't have enough money to fix the press quite yet... Are we going to be able to use demo skis for the comp?

We will be demoing during the comp. You can use demo skis during the comp. We try and keep our demos down to about an hour/ski though.

Getting stoked.

Registration is open in our store

http://on3pskis.myshopify.com/collections/beartooth-summer-session

Pre-registering will ensure you get a Phar North/ Beartooth Summer Session shirt for free.

Check out the meal plan option too, 7 gourmet meals for $45. Better deal than you are going to get going out to eat and a lot easier than camp cooking.

I hope to see a lot of familiar and new faces make it out to this thing. I have spent a lot of late nights trying to make this as affordable and as awesome as possible.

If you have any questions feel free to message me on here or email kip@on3pskis.com

Thanks

I can't seem to fill out any of the online form info for the comp signup. I haven't tried any of the other things, but that one wont work anyways. It is just stuck on "default" and there is no other option.

Sorry, didn't have time to get the store dialed in before leaving. Im in Red Lodge now, poaching internet behind a motel. If you leave everything as default and go through our checkout I will have all the info I need before comp day.

Also, just found out from out insurance company, we can't let people use our demo skis in the comp. Sorry.

so if I were to show up half drunk on friday night I'd be able to pay cash for a place to sleep and not have to to it online?

They posted something on their Facebook Page about how they would soon have some announcements. Im stoked for it this year, hope it all woks out!

BOOM stoked to actually make it up this year,....unless something comes up at work. i def will be there!

Its both. You drop off the top of the ski area, and into the "big mountain" section, then at the bottom there are built kickers and park features.

I believe there were categories for big mountain, park, overall, and maybe one more.

Hey dudes. The format for the competition is a big mountain/slopestyle comp. The winner(s) will be a combined "big mountain" and "slopestyle" score. There will also be a "big mountain standout" and a "slopestyle standout" plus lots of other fun prizes.

We have a lot of good swag to give away again this year. I will post more details about the event this week. Been pretty busy working on the logistics of this week (securing cat time, dealing with insurance, getting other ON3P personnel ready to go out here) plus working in the factory, skiing, and living. I will keep you guys updated, and update the website later this week as more details become finalized.

Unfortunately, we are not renting the camp this year. We really wanted to but they wouldn't let us in before the 9th. Pretty big bummer but I think it's better to have this session earlier in June and have more snow to work with.

Really awesome that Lagunitas is sponsoring it haha. I'm planning on going, didn't make it last year but it should be a great time
