Its redic that there is an investigation. Not to sound like a broken record moral authority but for god sakes people.
You are more concerned about a guy sleeping in a hotel a few night on his survivor show than the president of our country lying to us on a daily basis and corrupting our nation.

I heard this is some more shit he made up:
1. He stayed in hotels like previously stated.
2. The episode where he made that raft and floated down the river, well the raft was made by a carpenter crew he had on hand.
3. The episode in Serrira Nevada where he saw the wild horses and was talking about riding them, well they brought a trailer of horses and let them go.
4. The episode where he is skydiving and lands in a tree and says hes its "60 foot down" and then jumps is fake.
5. In some episodes he said he was in a remote country but really he was in the U.S.

Hey, I was just contesting the practicality of most of the shit he does, and I think you'd have to be a fool to say all the risks he takes are anything resembling good survival. There's obvious showmanship and that calls into question his credibility
For a little background, my sister is a discovery channel associate producer at Optomen in NYC. I work with her on her projects and she consults me on a regular basis for military discourse and forensics advice.
For a little more, I'm currently sitting about 10 meters from a cluster of 4 british SAS/SBS, one of which has been the architect of the training program at Hereford for 20 years. I just said that none of the senior SAS I know recognize or remember the guy, and SAS isnt exactly a giant community. People lie about their SF background all the time to get jobs, women, and street cred. So far the US is the only country I know of to offer a service to verify SF to civilians, so yeah, if he changed his name to a stage name (he did) he could claim whatever he wants and chances are nobody would find out for years. You can understand why a military might be reluctant to give away names of its special forces operators.
I'm worst NS member because I comment only on things that I know about, and all my posts are shit that I am involved in 100%. In this case, I opened my yap because I've been in special forces combat air support for 5 years and I work with the Brits every single day. When I open my mouth it's because I usually know what I'm talking about, and nothing's more unpopular on a forum of 14 year olds than unsweetend, factual knowledge. Aaanyway, rant over. Theres 5 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

This is rediculous, his name is Edward Michael Bear Grylls for god's sake, his nick-name is Bear. What the fuck is "Tiger" Wood's name? Sure as hell doesn't say "Tiger" on his birth certificate, does it pal? Of course he takes some risks, call it showmanship all you want it's entertainment, and he teaches you the proper way of going about things. He WAS S.A.S, there is no question about it. You can't just go on T.V. and lie about that kind of shit, it's moronic to think that he could get away with that. I suppose you think he lied about breaking his back, too? And climbing everest?

ps: survivor man was in the ocean and his "producers" said that he needs to be attatched to a bigger boat so his raft didnt float away, its cool that he admitted that he wasnt alone but it just shows that hes not really alone the whole time.

If you're that well keyed up on such things you should know that he would have been exposed the second he appeared on TV for even falsely claiming to have served in the British Army, let alone the SAS. If you look on ARRSE there are numerous people who have vouched for him, with photos of him while badged and even of his jump certificate. Failing that, I've met members of 264 who have heard of him in 21 SAS and had no words of doubt about him.
You're well entitled to your opinion about his TV show but don't talk authoritatively on a British soldier's military career simply because you assume you know more than the people on here.
