The Kryptons, Theres a ton of features, like the heel retension strap, which removes ur ability to move in the bot, makes u more one with your equipmant, second is the lower pivit point so that there is no robot like motion and moves with ur normal movement, honestly are they worthy it, id say so they are the most powerfull boot ive ever skied on and they have a life of there own, if you wanna pop, hese babys do it all, Plake pretty much explained shit to me, and its just crazy how it all came together! Money wise man its more for the ivy league skool crowd though as in they cost an assload! but hey i gotta say im not just saying this becuz there my ride, i love these boots!! well i was out today and it was pretty sweet besides the flat light. I finally cleaned the rainbow and cleaned the new C first try. I took 2 good spills today so now my leg is swollen but I should be good to go by tom. Boyer do you have my cell?

haha, i think i'm actually worthy of skiing twins now...i finally learned to slide that little tiger box like 4 days ago and yesterday bob got me to try the C right after he did and i got it first try. got the rainbow too, but my landings are a bit sketchy still. i'm slowly working my way along each diff rail. it's fun as hell, i don't know why i didn't just go for it sooner.

nice dorsey!! that was def. a fun night!! I am hopin to get back out sometime next week. I have to work this weekend. They said the pipe will be closing either today or tom and reopen sat cause they are supposed to blow snow and recut it. so we shall see...LATA

 
yeah it took forever for me to finally try even that tiger box, but now i'm just trying them all. can't do anything 'amazing' by far, but i think i'm getting much better. in one week i've progressed more than i have my entire time trying the twin tip stuff...it's because i've skied a few times with bob and once with boyer, it helps to ski with someone who can do something and not be cocky about it and then help you to get it yourself.

 
my plans changed and i cant make it up friday. im def. gonna try this weekend though, gotta put my pass to good use. anyone drive from the philly area? i could use the lift

if everything goes as planned, the pipe will be closed tonight at tomorrow for snow blowing, then me and boyle are gonna sit and watch bob cut it friday night to make sure he does it right. thus we will have one week of sweet pipe practice. bear was super sick today, wallride was kickin as well

Dani update- Magor hematoma and split muscle! im hope in a few weeks, tops of three she will be shredding again maybe sooner if all goes well! keep her hopes up and when u see her at bear, (shes there almost eeryday in shorts lol) say hi and stuff she can really use it!! i know everyone has her back!!

hey guys looks like i'll be out for a while after 5 or so falls over the past 2 weeks on the same spot on my thigh resulting in a couple huge bruises and alot of swelling. i hobbled my way to the emergency room today and the doc put me on vicodin for the pain and to help me sleep so i hope i'll be back up in a week or 2.

The Smurfs that cartoon or w/e. anyway i was havin fun gappin the top down kink and gettin speed for the smurf rail/jump. i messed up 1 run, hit the right kicker instead of the left and totally overshot. it was nice meetin some of u though. hope to get up sometime this week maybe for a few hours or sumptin. later

yeah dorsey's first attempt at transferring the small table to the landing of the big table over the smurfer resulted in him almost going inverted and somehow managed to actually land on the rail from pretty much full speed. its a good thing you aint paralyzed boy!

go figure the pipe wasnt cut last nyte again, but instead of bitching we decided to find the only hit in the pipe, but it was semi descent, Joe, Danielle and I hiked the pipe, danielle hiked it with crutches and chilled wit us so mad props, i had a few flare attempts, but nuffing wirth talking about!!! other then decking myself and landing on my head!!! oh well hope the pipe is cut soon!

so crowded today and yesterday. i heard it was a record or something from somebody. i love how the lodge brings in lots of clueless dumbasses. i heard some lady ask 'how do u get these off' in ref to her skis. and its not like there's only a couple of em, there all over. but thats what u get for livin in PA

 
yeah there was a memo that we got in the shop that said something like 4500 guests on saturday, and i don't think that's including season pass holders or anything...just tickets sold. that's a lot of freakin' people. it seemed like they were all hovering around the quad too. anyway, yeah it was real busy.. probably a record of some kind. haha, rental returns were a bitch. it was a nonstop flood of skis and boards.

sasquatch is such a nice run, why is it so hard to access by lift. i have to take the quad up, then go right and hike a little, then hike again! just to get to it, or i can ski down and cut across to the bottom triple. nd then hit it, but i need to hit the quad after that cause i cant make it back to the triple. it has the sickest runout on the left side lookin from the quad that i straightline that is the bst feeling. anyone else upset about that? or have any secret jumps/small man made pow pow stashes, or fun places to go to on the mtn?

sasquatch is a pretty nice run, except for how short it is (but it's bear creek, so yeah...self explanitory). i agree though, it is fairly tough to get to, but only if you're already on the quad side. if i want to take a run on it, i just go up the double, cruise down to the triple, and then just stay on that side for a while. what i can't stand though is how icy it gets. but again, i guess there's not much to be done about that either.

 
check out the skiers right side near the bottom, there is like a 20 ft veertical air but you need to have someone spot it so you dont land on trees or people. landing is kinda flat but kick ass none the less

Sasquatch is pretty nice at the end where the trails merge on the right you can air pretty nice but the landing is filled with rocks and shit. I just started riding at Bear what time is the pipe comp and any costs?

 
i'd check the site. but i think 10 bucks but not sure. i also like skiing some of the mini glade action when i transfer and hike from the quad over to timberline.

yeah some of that stuff is cool, i just wish that they would be able to spend some time and clear out some of the real heavy underbrush and giant rocks in one spot and make an 'official' tree run. that would be sweet. i've heard a lot of other people talking about this also, like older guys and stuff. i think it would be a smart move, and tons of people would use it, not just us.

I know some older guys were talking about clearing a tree run out in the summer, off timberline I think sort of members only thing I guess.

 
the small pow/glade area is right before that random wooden house near timberline, and the Nastar booth. its sorta like u can cut across the trail that connects some beginner runs to Timberline. its nothin special but fun to ski through the sometimes tracked/untracked stuff. i saw a boarder try to gap the smurf rail and almost hit his head, but not a skier. i met xxlinehaze, i thnk u guys were up tehre also.

yo bob, what have you heard about the far right side of the triple. bear creek now owns that and sometime in the future there will be a new trail or 2? i heard that right now they just have no money to put toward that but invested in the land. ps dont let anyone see you skiing through the trees except for the little cleared spaces at the top near the snackshack. they WILL take your ticket because someone else will follow you and get hurt.

i know there is talk of some new trails but when and where is the question. Bear Creek has a lot of planning to do esp. for summer activities. If i hear anything about new trails i will let ya know. Also to what boyer said, def don;t go down the 'out of bounds' trail. I rode down there with my mountainbike before the season and all you are going to hit is giant rocks under the snow. It's not worth it. Play it safe! I will be up there tonight for a lil skiin. LATA
