I'm looking to buy my first beaconWhat are your guys' favorites / least favorites

Right now am looking at the Barryvox Element and Ortovox 3+

Thanks for the help and +K

As far as simplicity goes, I'm a bigger fan of the tracker 1. It's got one button, fairly idiot resistant. And I've found its a little more consistant on range than the tracker 2.

BCA or Ortovox are both great. Just got the tracker 2 for an upcoming trip to Japan. If you can get a code/invite on Promotive.com the tracker 2 runs about $215.

I just got the 3+ this season. It is ridiculously easy to use and fits against your body much better than the trackers.

Just a slide-like button to put it into transmit and a button to flag on it, so very simple with a nice big lcd screen. Lots of ski schools use it for their avy packs that they give to clients for BC days.

I prefer thick cut peppered.

i love my bca tracker, just last week i attained a refreshment course and my simple BCA tracker was definitely one of the fastest and easiest beacons that were present, it beat the most 3 antennas by a lot, only time it got surpassed was by an ortovox with a bit bigger rangethat found the initial signal a bit faster

Tracker 2 or Tracker DTS. I've got a Tracker 2 and I couldn't be happier with it. Would I use it if I were a guide or something, no only because it can't mark a multi but it's accurate, the price is right and it's as idiot proof as it gets which isn't something to underestimate in a panic situation.
