Beach Volleyball

I was just wondering how many of you guys play beach volleyball for recreation or even competitively.
 
I've played a ton recreationally and would love to start playing competitively but Im kinda in the wrong area to do that. DC only has one really good set of courts. Are you thinking about playing in an AVP qualifier?
 
Well my cousin and i just decided to be partners at the begiing of summer and we have been practicing A LOT, and we have a local tournament tomorrow o well see how we do. But yes we are thinking about playing in a qualifier in 2010 because we want to have at least some tournament experience before we go to that big of a tournament.
 
yeah i was gonna go with my cousin but i have work at 2:30 to 11. im really pissed about that
 
that's cool. I've played recreationally and in leagues and what not. I don't know how competitive the AVP qualifiers are, but those on the AVP tour are way above my level. I don't exactly have the height or the vertical leap to be really dominant. I'm only 5'11". Probably don't have the best fundamentals either cause I never had any formal training but I make do with what I got. I just enjoy playing. Props if you're good enough to compete with the big boys.
 
Well we are both 6'2" and have good vertical leap due to past experience in Basketball, but we are very quick on our feet also. We basically taught ourselves and are still looking for a coach who knows what to do in important matches and how to form gameplans.
