Be Steady 1 (movi like rig)

Not too bad at $2500. I probably won't buy one unless I found myself doing 90% steady work outside of skiing but outside of skiing I barely use any sort of steadycam, usually tripod/handheld.

Seriously the sudden sprout of these steadicam rigs coming out since the MõVI gave every filmographer a massive hard-on is annoying as hell.

All claiming to be 'revolutionary' but in the process blatantly ripping-off the MõVI.

"In early 2013, their passion for engineering and multirotor design developed into an exciting challenge - to create a high performance and affordable brushless gimbal."

When again did the Laforet video came out?

They sure spent a long time coming up with that name. I seem to remember this being much weaker than the movi in some way, can't remember though, maybe it was before/something different.

Yes they are ripping it off. But i think in a way they have a right to call it revolutionary because it is put at price point that many apon many can afford. Now the movie is obviosly better because it has nicer motors and what not. But the movie is 15,000 and the BeSteady One is 2,500. I think for the money its an awesome product. Imagine the fun you would have shooting with it!

oh and OP, or whoever was buying one, don't forget you might get taxed, and it could be a hell of a lot, I know importing something from the us to the uk like that will be up to 40% of the value of it. Definitely an unwelcome surprise.

The MõVI was a revolution.Compare this to the iPad and Amazon fire.

A comparison in price point is skewed when you compare a professional rig designed for a combined camera and lens weight of 12lbs vs one that wasn't aimed at RED users and just designed to hold 4,4lbs. The MõVI M5 is the competitor in the same weight class and costs just 5K in contrast to the 15K of it's bigger brother.

The reason the M10 is so expensive is because it can handle a Red camera with heavy lens and still perform, also features such as 'drift free horizon" that utilizes a very accurate GPS, a system that records the exact camera position, height, pan, tilt and roll angle to aid the VFX team in post production and a lot more. The M10 is made for professional productions.

Also the MõVI's are made with remote control in mind but they didn't forget the people who want to go solo, I still haven't seen anything as majestic as MõVi's Majestic mode on any rip-off.
