Sooo Mike Phelps seems to know how to take a bong rip like a champ and a local radio station decided to help everyone be like Mike and they gave away some pot of gold candys and a water pipe, so you can be just like mike hahahaa
and i won, i pick up the bong today aha
 
threads, thats hilarious. i bet that guy takes monstrous rips with those lungs of his. get armstrong in on the reefer and we could stage a bong rip showdown.
 
he's got three months off now too. that's two months of smoking bong and relaxing from his busy ass life and one month to get back in shape. sounds like a blessing to me.
 
fuck that, the only reason phelps is getting in trouble is because media publicizing the shit out of him taking a bong rip. phelps is the greatest swimmer ever and personally i think it is awesome that he can do that (not that he even really puffs) while being the athlete he is. it sucks everyone has to blow this up and make him not be able to compete for a while and have his sponsors drop him. but seriously, just leave the guy alone and watch him when he is in the water swimming. drop the whole "OMG phelps smoked pot" and let him live his life.

its dumb and blown way out of proportion like everything on the media, he smoked pot so what, its not like a lot of people haven't especially people his age and younger this day and age, if he can smoke and swim like he does more power too him. its just unfortunate he had to lose his sponsors and stuff over this. it shouldn't be that big a deal
 
I like how his sponsers basically all said "so what? he won 8 fucking gold medals who cares?" and they suspended him in a time when there isn't any competitions. Except Kellogs they dropped him. But fuck Kellogs.
 
I don't know a whole lot about the process, so I'm just making guesses, but I'd be willing to bet big companies like RooR, DZL, PHX, Delta, etc., have machines do it. Those things are all exactly the same and they're all crafted to perfect, machine-like specifications. Considering how much glass they sell, they'd have to have a lot of glass blowers, and it seems pretty damn unlikely that all those people are all doing it that consistently. Besides, have you ever heard of a "factory" glass blower? Who invests all that time into the trade to be a boring, one-dimensional glass blower? I just don't see it dude. Sure, a lot of bongs are handmade, but I'd be willing to bet good money that the big guys have machines for that shit.
 
Dude it depends on the company. RooR might have machines because they're german, but most large bong companies like JBD and PHX are blown by hand. And actually RooRs probably are too. They use glass spindles and shit, like a cermic whell almost but molten hot, and then someone sits there and shapes it.

And actually RooR is definately handblown because each one has a little symbol thats a signiture of whoever blew it.
 
Again, I have no knowledge other than guesswork. I've only bought one real bong in my life, I lost it 13 days later and I've done zero research on the subject. You're probably right. That was just my guess based on the information I had.
 
A lot of bongs are hand made and a lot are made overseas. You can tell the machine made ones because they are usually much cheaper. Not all Roors are handmade though. In fact, I'm fairly positive that unless it says it's a custom roor that it's machine made.

Depends, nug is a variable term. .4-.5g is a pretty reasonable amount for a huge rip, but only the most hardened of lungs can pull off a gram in one. Either weight could be "one nug" very easily.
 
I know man, I currently have a nug that's 6 grams. There's no way I could smoke all that in one hit. Just sayin... in general, it's not that hard since most nugs are fairly small.
 
so here it is, a pipe, no water pipe bong or whatever the said it would be but i think this is more practical. they handed me a bag full of bubblewrapped pipes and said i get to pick one. despite the size of my huge hand the pipe is actually decent sizedi like, and best of all its FREEEEE now i can smoke my tobacco in style...

so phelps smokes weed. he won 8 gold medals. he is one of the best if not the best olympic athlete ever.
correct me if im wrong, but 70% of our population likes Obama, and he opened done crack in the past.
plus weed is not usually the best performance enhancing drug either haha
 
^How this SHOULD have been portrayed: one of the most successful, accomplished athletes in the world smokes weed, so it obviously isn't that bad.
