BCS IS OUT!!!!

Boise State's schedule is fucking easy. It's a joke that they are in the top 10. At least Oregon's is decently challenging.

On a related note, did anyone look at Alabama's schedule this year? I just noticed they have to play 9? teams that are or were ranked at some point. SEC is always hard, but that's nuts even for that conference. No wonder they couldn't hold on.

Bosie State put out an offer to any school in the nation that they would come to their stadium and play them. Nobody accepted because they are all scared to get beat by Bosie. Their schedule sucks becuase people are too afraid to play them. Untill they lose I think they should be in top 10 for sure.

No one wants to play on that stupid field when they can take an offer from a more legit football team. Do you really think teams are scared to lose to Boise? How are all these other top ranked teams playing tough away games?

Like Duke or San Jose State? How about McNeese State? The SEC is a great conference, but they RARELY travel west and play a formidable out of conference opponent. BSU is in a weak conference, but at least they schedule #10 VT in Virginia, and #24 Oregon State... And on the big stage and bowl games, they always end up winning. Any team would be absolutely stupid to overlook BSU.

It doesn't matter if oregon lost to bsu last year and another time... thats retarded

Not only does alabama play a bunch of hard teams, starting with south carolina a week ago, every single team they play (except maybe ga state) has a bi week before they play them.

I dont give a fuck if boise has 1 tough opponent at the beginning of the year and some decent opponent in the middle. All of the SEC, pac 10, big ten school have to play decent teams the entire year, except for the bottom teams of their conference and the out of conference games. Boise wouldn't be able to survive alabamas schedule. Its one thing to win a couple of big games a year and be undefeated against a bunch of mickey mouse teams the rest of the year. Its another to have to play hard conference games every week.

dont say Ore state is good. Theyve been overrated the entire season. They lost to washington for a total of 3 losses, and they will have at least 2 more once the season is done.

Virginia tech lost to JMU. Boise barely beat tech. They gave up a 17 point lead in the first quarter to trail until the end of the game.

boise will not be deserving of a naitonal championship until they are in a respectable conference.

BOOMER SOONER BABY! Big 12 is killing it, gonna be tough for them to win out with all the good teams right now

In BSU's defense, That was their first game of the season, both teams were extremely sloppy and BSU had many stupid mistakes and penalties that they dont usually do. They have since gotten comfortable and are playing very well, i think if that game was scheduled later in the season it would have been a very different game.

I dont think they should get a bid over a more deserving team in a harder conference for the National Title. But they do deserve to be looked at as one of the best Bowl teams and are deserving of a good bowl match up.

if you cant get into college go to state...

clap clap

seriously, fuck michigan state

Hahahahaha, you're probably, what, a sophomore in high school? I graduated from State and I have little doubt that I will be far more successful than an ignorant sack of shit like you.

Not to mention, why does he give a fuck what 1 fan did to another opposing teams fans car? You don't think UM has pulled that shit on MSU fans. Haters gunna hate. Sorry UM hasn't had a good football program in 3 or 4 years.

no boise said they would go anywhere to play. they were not trying to get the big boys to come to the smurf turf.

the argument that boise plays inferior competition is true but very tired. boise has proven in bowl games they can win against the big boys.

I am not a boise fan, but from what ive seen they are a better football team than oregon and oklahoma this year.

Yea like TCU, sick...
It might be because they have 9 bye weeks to prepare, oh wait, I forgot you count those high school teams you play against as actual games.

what are you talking about TCU was a great team last year. i thought they were gonna make Boise their bitch in the fiesta bowl.

I can't wait til Boise State plays a real team and get stomped, which will only happen in a high profile bowl game, unless they play TCU again.

yea boise never plays real football against real teams. They probably don't even have real mountains with real snow over there in Boise. They are fucking joke.

no, they are the best team in the nation and they are hungry, which makes them even more dangerous.

Even if they do get stomped I think it would be a positive thing still. If they got a shot at a big game I don't think it will matter if they win or not. The exposure in a huge game and the fact that they could make it that far is a good thing for them.

Bahaha you boise fans are hilarious. I think any top 10 team would stomp them and any current top 25 team would beat them. Oregon State and Virginia Tech don't count because they suck, OSU isn't even ranked anymore and VT is 5-2 and only has lost to boise and fucking james madison, they suck.

I think its stupid that teams like Boise State, TCU, and Utah (even though i love my utes) get ranked so high but don't play hard teams. But, they do tend to prove themselves, Boise has slayed some hard teams in bowl games, same as TCU and Utah.

The BSC system is fucked in general, they need to switch to playoffs like college basketball, have true rankings within conferences, have playoffs and have a really championship. my 2cents.

Haha im not expert, but i know a decent amount, i mainly over exaggerate my stats about boise state because i hate the fans. Yeah boise beat VT first game, but they then lost to shitty team the next week. TCU is slaying this year again but still, like boise state, they're in such an easy conference and their schedules are so easy. I stopped going to Utah games because they are playing such shitty teams and its not fun to watch.

Boise State is a good team, but i think they are overrated. I think alot of teams get ridiculous rankings, including my team, utah. Its just how the BSC system works and its a shitty ass system, like i said, it needs to change.

I'd be stoked if boise went to a good bowl game and dominated but i'd almsot be just as stoked if they got stomped hahahaha

Bummer boise isn't upgrading to a better conference like Utah and CU.

Ummm, TCU beat the shit out of Oregon State this year sir. So did Boise. Oregon State was ranked #24 in the nation before they lost again on Saturday to my beloved Washington Huskies. Virginia Tech who BSU beat has now won 5 games in a row.

I know as a whole they have an easier schedule. but when they get their chance at the big boys they make the most of it. You talk a big game but lets be honest, Boise State is 2-0 against the your beloved Oregon Ducks in the last 2 seasons. They also have a two Fiesta bowl victories in the last 4 years. So all you haters should really look at the facts before you start disrespecting a quality team like BSU. There is a reason they are in the top 3.

Go Huskies and go Broncos!

It's gonna be exactly like when Hawaii beat BSU and went undefeated with Colt Brennan. They played # 3 Georgia and got absolutely butt fucked even though people were still complaining that they should have a shot at the National Title. Give me a break.

losses in the past don't mean shit now.. enough said. but the ducks have hard games,,, Usc in la and Cal in Berkley and OSU in Corvallis for civil war.. those are three fucking hard away games. that is the one thing that will be missed with the coming of the pac- 12.. you wont get to play every team a season. . but the conference will be stronger in the end

sorry we have the most wins in college football history...

weve beaten you twice as much as you've beaten us

we have 11 national championships

sure you've beaten us for the last 4 years. real big accomplishment. it is the first coach ever hired out of the program and the first time using a spread offense. not to mention weve had some REALLY good recruits (jokes). until now our offense has been horrendous and our secondary on defense is still terrible.

michigan has a better football program than msu. no question.

i also think its funny how seriously michigan state takes this rivalry. its honestly barely a rivalry for michgan but for msu its like the biggest game of the year. you guys have a fucking clock counting down to it.

who is coming to the pac 12
Utah and Colorado, not as much as football but other sports manly basketballwhich the ducks have sucked at lately
past losses.. I am an Oregon fan.. and as soon as you mention Oregon you get a Bronco fan like.. WE BEAT YOU TWICE WERE BETTER THEN YOU CAN EVER BEE NAH NAH NAH NAAAAAAAAAA. yeah you did beat us. by a touch down in each game. not really a stomping. we held you guys to 19 at the loss in Boise. but this season.. those losses (or wins) have little to no effect on how the ranking go's. i know my ducks could beat Boise anytime anywhere. and i'm not just pulling a duck out my ass.

yeah yeah i know that, i thought you were talking about boise, i was confused why you were talking about it but i get it now.

until the bcs is replaced by a playoff system, there will always be these arguments.

I think what this year will prove is that an undefeated Boise or TCU or Utah will never get into the title game over an undefeated or 1-loss, or maybe even 2-loss team from the B10, B12, Pac10 or SEC. Considering that Oregon, Oklahoma, MSU, Auburn, LSU, Mizzou and OkST are all still undefeated, with Bama, tOSU, Wisconsin, Iowa, Stanford, Nebraska lurking with one loss, I'd be stunned if the computers or human polls allowed Boise or TCU in.
Whether they deserve to get a shot at the title is honestly irrelevant at this point, because it's pretty clear they never will. Which is too bad. They can't help the conference they play in (in fact Boise changed leagues to get better competition before Utah bailed to the Pac10) and they beat everyone on their schedule. What more can you ask for honestly?
/praying for a Boise-Oregon title game

bosie state is only good at football. and money, markets and other such things.
that is why bosie state in not in the PAC

You don't just "join" the Pac-10. There's a pretty extensive process that has to go on before you get invited to a power conference like that. And unfortunately for Boise it brings little more to the table than a powerhouse football program: no major TV market, no other perennially successful sports programs, not a highly rated school academically.
Whereas Utah has a really good basketball team every year, that's pretty much why they got the invite for the Pac10. And Colorado is good at a lot of sports, historically good at football, and gives the Pac10 the denver TV market.
The system is designed to make the rich richer and the poor poorer. Boise, TCU, Utah, and BYU are anomalies in that they were able to find coaches good enough to overcome the considerable disadvantages of being in a shit conference (lack of TV money and recruiting sexiness) to become viable long-term programs. Now they are power teams themselves, though they are still held back by their conference schedule, which is out of their control. It will be interesting to see how Utah fares in the Pac10.

good post.

and i agree, that this is the year for boise to make the NCG because of where they were ranked in the preseason polls. if they are undefeated and still dont get in the NCG they probably never will until the system is changed.

but really i think a lot of people in here are pushing boise aside because of their schedule. but really i think that they have a very high caliber team and the way the system is set up this year they could beat anyone. If they played an SEC schedule they probably would not be in this position. but they dont. so they are going game by game.

another thing about boise is that they really will go anywhere and play anyone at anytime. theres no way in hell texas or florida would have gone up to fed ex field to play Virgina Tech in the NFL stadium. they simply would not do it. they rather play their shit OOC games.
